Local free range beef simmered with organic pinto and kidney beans, Fiscalini Farms cheddar, sour cream, red onions, and corn muffin. $12.75
Mountain Room Lounge, Yosemite National Park CA
This tasted great, and there was plenty of it to fill you up of a chilly evening. Spoiler alert: I think they sell the same thing at the food court for much cheaper. Wish I would have known, lol! No matter though, it still tasted great!
Crispy egg battered squid, chili, aioli, lime wedge, cilantro. 310 PHP
Sky Deck View Bar, Manila PHILIPPINES
Mmm, these calamari were done right! They weren’t dry and over-fried and chewy. They were still tender and packed with flavor, a little heat and some sweetness. A nice early evening snack to kick off the night.
Manhattan and Long Island Iced Tea. Each 280 PHP

Served with rice, lettuce, tomato. 79,000 VND
Sisters Cafe, Ho Chi Minh City VIETNAM
Mmm, this lemon grass chicken was SO much better than the one at Vietnamese Kitchen! It was like night and day. This chicken was tender and the sauce was SO delicious. The portion was larger and the price was noticeably lower. Score!
The bustling Binh Tay Market, Cholon (Chinatown).
Explosive chili, crispy beef tripe. $10
Mission Chinese Food, San Francisco CA
Wow, this made my mouth numb but it was SO delicious! I love the spice blend they used for the chicken, but the crunchy bits of tripe were even better – noms!
Ground shrimp with chili and ginger patty, house made pickled onions, cilantro and lime mayo, arugula on an artisan white bun. Two for $10
Sliderbar, San Francisco CA
Mmm, there are some delicious Asian flavors in this unique slider! Gotta give it to Sliderbar for creating some pretty creative sammies.
Caramel ice cream, caramel sauce and brittle. Family style supper $46 per person
Staple and Fancy, Seattle WA
Of the two desserts we received, I preferred this one. The brittle was really good, and the caramel ice cream helped to balance out the rich, dense cake.
“City Light, City Bright” Seattle manhole cover.
Fillet fish, chili flake, garlic and fried shallots. $7.95
Burmese Kitchen, San Francisco CA
This was delicious, although not very spicy. I like heat so I’m always a little disappointed when they promise spice and it ends up mild anyway. The fish, however, was tender and very flavorful!
