Chicken wings – Escena Lounge & Grill

Chicken wings - Escena Lounge & Grill
Bleu cheese dipping sauce. $10
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA

These were pretty good! I liked the saucy glaze, and bleu cheese is always preferable over ranch for me! Hehe!

Steak nachos – Escena Lounge & Grill

Steak nachos - Escena Lounge & Grill
Tortilla chips, 3 cheese blend, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA

Meh… This was just REALLY dry! The steak was dry, the chips were dry, the pico was dry. It’s like this thing sat under the salamander for 15 minutes before getting topped for serving. Geez!

Calamares a la romana – Parrots Pub

Calamares a la romana - Parrots Pub
Deep fried calamari. €3.90

Ugh, these fried squid rings were really limp and greasy. They were kinda gross! #fail

Jamon iberico de bellota – Parrots Pub

Jamon iberico de bellota - Parrots Pub
€4.50. With pan con tomate. €2.50
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN

Hmm, I thought the ham was very dry and chewy. It seemed old to me, like it had been pre-sliced and sitting out for a while. Ew! The bread with tomato was fine though.

“Dirty” crispy potatoes – Cockscomb

Dirty crispy potatoes - Cockscomb
Pickled peppers and country ham puree. Happy hour $4
Cockscomb, San Francisco CA

I know that this pic is on the dark side, but rest assured that the potatoes were delicious! I thought they were perfectly fried and the toppings were yummy. And only four bucks, folks!

Cava – Parrots Pub

Cava - Parrots Pub
With complimentary frites.
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN

This is always a great place for an early happy hour. The service and the people watching are both great! Just sit back, relax, and sip the cold, sparkling cava!

Beef corn dogs – Urban Putt

Beef corn dogs - Urban Putt
Urban Putt, San Francisco CA

Ugh, what a disappointment! These were REALLY greasy and off tasting. They pretty much tasted like burnt oil or perhaps their frying oil was super old or something. I didn’t like these at all. And even the mustard dip was overly bitter. #foodfail
