This bar had a pretty cool and relaxed vibe. The bartender was also friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. Hence, this delicious basil gimlet!

€4.50. With pan con tomate. €2.50
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN
Hmm, I thought the ham was very dry and chewy. It seemed old to me, like it had been pre-sliced and sitting out for a while. Ew! The bread with tomato was fine though.
With complimentary frites.
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN
This is always a great place for an early happy hour. The service and the people watching are both great! Just sit back, relax, and sip the cold, sparkling cava!
Artisanal spicy chorizo, served with pan on tomate, coarse mustard. €4.50
Mikkeller Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
I loved the texture of this chorizo! I could have sworn they were flash fried, but I’m now sure. Perhaps they were just really dry cured. Regardless, they were delicious and their pan con tomate were some of the best of the trip.
Cured goat cheese with rosemary, served with pan con tomate. €8.90
Mikkeller Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
This was SO much cheese! 🙂 The cheese was great, but I actually loved the tomato bread even more! They grilled a nice hearty bread and had the perfect amount of tomato on top.
Jalapenos, cheese and salsa. €5.15
Mikkeller Bar, Barcelona SPAIN
We were totally surprised by these nachos. I’ve never ordered nachos in Europe before because it seems silly to do so since there’s plenty of other food to try, but we were looking for something hot and comforting to eat with our beer. I’m glad we ordered it because these nachos were delicious! I especially loved the tapenade that they had on top. It was unexpected, and it provided a nice European flare to what we’re accustomed to in the US.
Served with roasted vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roasted potatoes and gravy. £9.95
Bedford Tavern, Brighton ENGLAND
OMG, this Sunday roast had SO much food! I think I could only get through a quarter of this plate before I was down for the count. The pork was super tender and juicy and all the other components were cooked beautifully! The service (bartender and owner) were so great and the Tavern had a very comfortable feel to it. I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing Sunday roast in a great atmosphere.

Urban Putt, San Francisco CA
Ugh, what a disappointment! These were REALLY greasy and off tasting. They pretty much tasted like burnt oil or perhaps their frying oil was super old or something. I didn’t like these at all. And even the mustard dip was overly bitter. #foodfail

Crispy chicken wings served with sweet chili sauce. $13
SKY Waikiki, Honolulu HI
These wings were gross. They were super dry and over-fried. They were also really small and there weren’t any drumettes!
Cruzan aged light rum, pineapple juice and tropical liqueurs with a dark rum float. Carafe $28
The Edge of Waikiki, Honolulu HI
These were tasty, pretty weak but tasty. I really liked our bartender/server though. He was really friendly and he made sure that we always had plenty of ice in our glasses. Yay for great service!
Spicy ahi poke with avocado mousse and toasted rice crackers. $15
SKY Waikiki, Honolulu HI
This was delicious (and pretty), but there wasn’t much of it. I thought the flavors were great though and the thin, crispy rice crackers were fun.
