Wow, this was probably one of the best calamari dishes I’ve had! The squid was super tender, the breading was delicious, and it was perfectly fried. Combine that with the Japanese flavors and you have a winning plate!

Sheesh, this place gets packed for happy hour! I guess that’s natural since it’s pretty much on the street from George Washington University campus. You can’t beat six bucks for this large plate of fried, artery-clogging goodness though! 😉

I love getting the trio (or quarto) at Fresca because you get to try a variety of their ceviches and the price is great. This time around, I really liked the mixto. It’s the most traditional one, but I really just liked the flavors. I was surprised by the ceviche passion with it’s passion fruit dressing. It tasted pretty good!

I think it’s kinda lame that you have to pay for plantain chips. They should just give you less and make it complimentary.

Ugh, this wasn’t very good. It had a weird flavor and texture. I don’t know if they just threw it in for garnish, but the dry bay leaf was not appreciated. I hope that’s not how they produced the laurel flavor, by throwing in a crusty leaf afterward! I was excited to order this dish and it fell flat.

Mmm, another delicious dish from Nha Hang Ngon. This had SO much flavor and a variety of textures – it was perfect! The seafood was prepared properly and the sauce was amazing. I could eat two plates of this!
