This chilled soup was REALLY good! It had a wonderful tomato basil flavor, and I loved its thick consistency. Yum! This was very refreshing to eat on a warm day.

The Restaurant at JUSTIN, Paso Robles CA
This soup was very good, and I liked the bit of spice in there. I also like the simple, yet elegant presentation. I just wish the server had sloshed it around on its way to the table.
Three course dinner prix fixe $35
Cafe Bastille, San Francisco CA
I liked that they included olives and gherkins to this simple mesclun salad. I love pickled foods so it was a nice addition to an otherwise boring plate of leaves. 🙂
Caipirinha: cachaca, lime juice, sugar. $9
Marinated sauteed shrimp, garlic, pisco, spicy tomato sauce with a touch of cream, grilled garlic toast. $14
Fresca, San Francisco CA
This dish was really tasty! The shrimp were well prepared and the tomato sauce was delicious. I was glad that they gave us more bread because the two dinky pieces was definitely not enough to sop up the yummy sauce. Noms!

Bun rieu. Signature noodle soup topped with crab omelette, curled cabbage, housemade pork meatballs, tomatoes, fresh herbs, and silky rice noodles. $9.50
Soup Junkie, San Francisco CA
This soup was really tasty and surprisingly light even with all the different toppings. The crab omelette was a winner and really took me back to childhood when we would makes these for days after a crabbing outing. The pork meatballs were also very good and added another dimension to the delicious soup.

Pesce, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I love fritto mistos! Who doesn’t love a plate of battered and deep fried seafood and vegetables?! I thought the marinara sauce was a little lame, but I’m not gonna complain too much. 🙂
Fall Smash: George Dickel rye, maple, lemon, mint, fresh cranberry. $10
Avocado, cucumber, tomato. $15
Pesce, San Francisco CA
This dish was tasty and not overly seasoned. (I’ve personally found that over-seasoning crab dishes is surprisingly common for some reason.) The ingredients in this dish were simple and delicious, and the presentation was appealing.

Jollibee, Manila PHILIPPINES
This burger tasted pretty similar to those in the States. I’ve found that sometimes hamburgers can taste drastically different depending on the country and the local ingredients used. This was one was decent and hearty enough. The French fries were pretty tasty too!

Plato D’Boracay Resto, Boracay PHILIPPINES
I can’t remember the last time I had marlin. It think it was in Seattle, back in the day. The fish tasted good, but it has a tendency to get dry pretty quickly. This was a bit on the dry side, but I think that’s why they suggested it be cooked with a sauce. My friend also requested some chopped tomatoes and onions to add more moisture and flavor.

The combination of ingredients sounded very intriguing so we decided to order this. Unfortunately, the pizza didn’t come together as well as we thought it would. And the white cheese was kinda gross.
