I love avgolemono soup, and this one was pretty tasty! I like how the lemon keeps it bright while the rice and chicken makes it hearty and comforting.

Pork chashu, sous-vide egg, kikurage, chives, nori, scallions, corn, roasted garlic, bacon-tonkatsu broth. $13.95
Slurp Noodle Bar, San Francisco CA
This ramen was good, and decently priced. I liked the sous-vide egg, but I wish there was more chashu. I really enjoyed the complimentary kimchi and chips though.

P.F. Chang’s, Memphis TN
I’m not a fan of restaurant chains, but this soup was pretty good! I liked that it was on the spicy side (and salty, but I like salty). Yum!
Cup $5
The Beauty Shop Restaurant, Memphis TN
This chilled soup was REALLY good! It had a wonderful tomato basil flavor, and I loved its thick consistency. Yum! This was very refreshing to eat on a warm day.
Lorina French blood orange drink.
Sliced angus beef, onion, green onion, udon, Muracci’s curry soup. $11.95
Muracci’s Japanese Curry & Grill, San Francisco CA
This was on the heavy side, but it was pretty tasty. I wish there was more udon noodles in there though, but I was glad that there was a good amount of sliced beef. Yum!
Chashu, boiled egg. $8.75
Ajisen Ramen, San Francisco CA
This was decent. I wish the boiled eggs was a bit softer, but this is one of the more affordable ramens you can get for lunch downtown.
Shoyu tare, chasu, ginger, kikurage, soy-cured egg. $14
The Ramen Bar, San Francisco CA
This tasted good, but I was kinda sad that my egg was beat up! If you’re paying fourteen bucks for a bowl of ramen, it better be good and intact. Lame…
Shio tare, grilled chicken, soy-cured egg, yuzu. $12
The Ramen Bar, San Francisco CA
This ramen was clean and comforting. The chicken was super succulent and the ramen noodles were perfectly cooked. Wished this place wasn’t so expensive as lunches go in the FiDi.
Tofu, egg, bamboo shoots, black fungus, scallions. Small $6.99
Spices, San Francisco CA
I love hot and sour soup and this was good. It could have been a bit more spicy, but it was tasty enough.
Meatballs in chicken broth, pepe pasta, spinach, onions, carrot. Glass of red wine. Complimentary
American Airlines Admirals Club, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
This soup was ok. It was pretty much standard airline lounge fare so the bar isn’t set very high. It’s definitely better with a glass of wine. 🙂
Spicy miso ramen with double portion of pork cha-shu. $15.80
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Toronto CANADA
This was tasty! I loved the spice level of the broth, and the ingredients were great. The ramen noodles also had a nice bite to them. I just wished the chasiu was cut a little thinner so it would’ve been easier to eat. These were pretty thick and harder to eat.
Bar seating $180
Pineapple & Pearls, Washington DC
Mmm, this soup was fancy and comforting. I loved the pea flavor with the smoky ham. And the pea shoots were nice and fresh.
