Korean bbq chicken with rice, kimchee and salad. $9.20
The Store on the Corner, San Francisco CA
I liked this bulgogi chicken because it was very flavorful and tender. I think it was all chicken thighs. I also like their kimchi!

Marinated beef, japchae, lettuce, red cabbage, carrot, pickled radish, bean sprouts, grilled onion, finely sliced egg, and spicy sauce. $9.50
BibimBar, San Francisco CA
I learned my lesson last time and got the regular spicy sauce instead of the super spicy sauce this time around. I like this place even though it’s not the best Korean food. It’s a nice break from all the lunchtime sandwiches and salads in the FiDi.
With steamed broccoli and brown rice. $10.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I will say that even though the Korean food at Sorabol is no where near the best, they are definitely consistent which is a huge plus in my book. You’re always certain what you’re gonna get and there aren’t any surprises. And you get a lot of food for a decent price – a rarity when it comes to downtown lunches in San Francisco.
Mixed chicken (wings and boneless) with topped with sesame seeds, almond, and parsley. Served with kimchi fried rice balls with bacon, topped with Parmesan cheese, creamy sriracha, sour cream, and parsley flakes. Combo $13.75
Kokio Republic, San Francisco CA
I love these wings and fried kimchi balls because they just burst with flavor. But I can’t talk to anyone for the rest of the day because they are SO garlicky, lol! It’s also a great value since I really can’t eat these all in one sitting.
With steamed broccoli and chap chae (Korean style glass noodles), kimchi. $9.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I did it again! I caved into my cravings and went to the mall food court for some Sorabol, lol! It always hits the spot though. 🙂
Japchae, lettuce, red cabbage, carrot, pickled radish, bean sprouts, grilled onion, finely sliced egg, and super spicy sauce. Served with soup. $9.50
BibimBar, San Francisco CA
This was really yummy and satisfying, but I completely underestimated the spiciness of their “super spicy” sauce. I ate it all, but my mouth was on fire for most of the duration. Next time I’ll opt for their medium spicy.
Yuk kae jang. With sliced beef, sprouts, green onion, mushroom, and noodles. $9
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
This was decent. I liked the heat, but it was more bland than I expected considering all the Korean flavors. The beef was a little tough, but it still made for a hearty lunch item.
Option A $15.99 per person
Koginara, Los Angeles CA
Went here with a couple friends and had a great time! You get SO much food for very little money and the service was pretty friendly and attentive compared to other AYCE KBBQ places. They kept on top of our table when we needed more food and they were also good at changing out our dirty grills. I would definitely return!
They switched out the stone grill to a wire one midway through.
Fried rice with egg (not included in all you can eat).
Banchan and seaweed salad.
Broccoli, mayo, gochujang chili sauce, cilantro, melted cheese. $10
Seoul on Wheels, San Francisco CA
I liked the spicy pork, but I think there was just too many toppings on this. The unmelted cheese was particularly weird and off-putting when combined with the mayo. Not my favorite.
With steamed broccoli and chap chae (Korean style glass noodles), kimchi. $9.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I was craving this and was really hungry so I knew that Sorabol was a good lunch option. They give you plenty of meat and it’s always nice and filling. I can’t imagine how many calories are on this plate though. Hehe!
Fried chicken wings tossed in sweet and spicy house sauce. $9.50
Stone Korean Kitchen, San Francisco CA
The flavor of these wings was good, but they were a bit over-fried and therefore dry. They were pretty difficult to bite through. I liked the sticky house sauce though.
Marinated rib eye, seasonal vegetables, sunny side up egg, steamed white rice. $15
Stone Korean Kitchen, San Francisco CA
This was ok. I felt like the beef could have been more flavorful, and the whole thing was on the dry side. After a while, it felt like work eating it. Hmm…
Banchan.
