This cocktail was expensive, but tasty. The bartender was super friendly though! The bar area is kinda dark even in the middle of the afternoon. Definitely a good ‘ole boys kinda place. $15

Rough cut tuna “nachos” – Mesa Grill

Mango-habanero hot sauce, avocado crema. $18
Mesa Grill, Las Vegas NV
Mmm, this was SO good but I think it was a little overpriced for such a small portion. I know it’s Las Vegas but this seemed overtly expensive. I loved that the tuna pieces were quite large, it made for a more substantial feel. It was difficult to tear some of the pieces apart though because the connective membranes hadn’t been cut all the way through. Kinda lame.

White and blue corn tortilla chips.

A delcious bite.
White pizza slice – Secret Pizza

Thin crust pizza with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses. The white pizza is SUPER garlicky and delicious! This place is small so grab a stool and enjoy. $5
Secret Pizza, Las Vegas NV
Pan roasted black mussels – Starbelly

Mexican chorizo, market chiles and cilantro. $10
Starbelly, San Francisco CA
Noms, I’m in love! It’s difficult to tell from this pic, but there are actually quite a lot of mussels in this bowl. The sauce with the chorizo and chiles is to die for! Mmm, I’m getting hungry again!

July 30, 2014. Still as delicious as ever! The cilantro were wilted and sad though.

Beer always tastes great with pizza for some reason! This random pizza joint at The Cosmopolitan is a little tricky to find but you’ll be happy you tried it.
Angus beef burger – Cat Cora Kitchen

Served with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles on a fresh baked bun, with sweet potato fries. $14
Cat Cora Kitchen, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

I ordered with burger cooked medium/medium-rare and you can see that it’s still a little pink in the middle and super juicy, noms! I will say that the patty could have used a little more seasoning, but it was very good. The sweet potato fries were nicely fried and delicious!

Iced tea. $2.95
Grilled local artichoke – Starbelly

With lemon aioli. Half $4
Starbelly, San Francisco CA
Simple, delicious! The lemon aioli was a wonderfully falvored, light accompaniment. I love artichokes even though they’re a lot of work to prepare and eat. I guess that’s why I tend to order them out, not cook them myself. Hehe!

Sunrise from my balcony with a view of downtown. Ahh!
Egg sandwich – Dolores Park Cafe

Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese on an English muffin. $4.95
Dolores Park Cafe, San Francisco CA
This simple breakfast sandwich was delicious probably because there was a lot of butter involved, both on the English muffin and eggs. Mmm!

Coffee with cream and sugar. $2

The windy Lombard Street. Such a tourist trap but even I have driven down this thing, lol! I feel sorry for the homes on this street, especially since it’s one-way.
Huevos motulenos – The Little Chihuahua

Two eggs cooked over easy on top of crispy corn tostadas, refried black beans, Royal ham, smothered with their fresh ranchero sauce and queso fresco with a side of Mexican potatoes. $9.50
The Little Chihuahua, San Francisco

Omg, there was so much food on this plate – definitely a great value that also tasted great! I was surprised by the thickness and size of the ham, honestly. Way too much food for me to finish. The potatoes were also tasty.

Mesa yellow blanket flower (Gaillardia x grandiflora, Asteraceae), Dolores Street. I’m not a big fan of yellow flowers, but I did like the silvery leaves of this ornamental.

Kasa Indian Eatery, San Francisco CA
This was the first time I tried the turkey kebabs. They were pretty good with a nice flavor. I generally like my Indian food saucy, especially on a thali plate so of course I’m partially to their chicken tikka masala!

Women’s Building, 18th Street. This building has artwork on all sides so it’s pretty cool!
Spring gazpacho – Starbelly

Avocado, crab and Spanish paprika. $9
Starbelly, San Francisco CA
This cold soup was light, delicious, and refreshing! I loved the bits of crab hidden within the chunky puree, and the paprika added a bit of smokiness. A perfect starter on a warm day!

Garage door underwater artwork, 24th Street. The Mission is SO colorful and the people are very daring and creative with their homes – love it!
