Herbed scramble – Odettes Eatery

Herbed scramble - Odettes Eatery
Halloumi, broccolini, date chutney, Midnight Baker bread. $20 NZD
Odettes Eatery, Auckland NZ

Mmm, this scramble was really delicious and I liked the fluffy texture of it. The halloumi cheese was good too, but maybe there was a bit too much of it.

Cucumber Fizz cocktail - Odettes Eatery

Treyf – Federal Delicatessen

Salmon latkes - Federal Delicatessen
Pickled pork, poached eggs, horseradish hollandaise on rye bread. $19.50 NZD
Federal Delicatessen, Auckland NZ

We didn’t know what this was when we saw it on the menu, but it ended up being like a Jewish style eggs benedict. The pickled pork was quite an interesting change and I liked it along with the horseradish hollandaise sauce.

Classic breakfast – Escena Lounge & Grill

Classic breakfast - Escena Lounge & Grill
Scrambled eggs, ham, fruit, wheat toast. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA

This was ok. They give you plenty of ham, but the scrambled eggs were my favorite. They weren’t very light and fluffy. I still love their complimentary muffins though!

Why do I keep staying out SO late that I always end up here – lol! Another night, another usual order of chicken fried steak and gravy. Mmm… I’m not even sorry, lol!

Ribeye omurice – Kitchen Story

Ribeye omurice - Kitchen Story
Marinated minced ribeye, scrambled eggs over jasmine rice, carrots, cherry pepper, spinach, scallion, demi glace sauce. Served with croissant, rainbow potatoes, fruit. $18
Kitchen Story, San Francisco CA

This was a really hearty breakfast and pretty tasty too! Since I’m such a gravy-lover, of course I loved the demi glace sauce (spelled “demi glazed sauce” on the menu). The scrambled eggs were fluffy and soft, but I wish the potatoes were cut a little bigger.
