I love dungeness crab and this plate was surprisingly good! I’m always weary of the touristy restaurants on the Wharf but this crab was very tasty and fresh, and a great value.

One pound of fresh steamed mussels served with bread. Made with tomato-basil sauce with garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes. $13

This had a lot of flavor, but was a tad on the salty side. I enjoyed that the mussels were large and meaty. They were nicely cooked so they were still tender and delicious!

The individual components of this plates were great, but it wasn’t cohesive. The fried cana de oveja cheese was my favorite part of this dish, I just wish everything had come together successfully.

I’m so glad this place is open late! I was in the SoMa after 2 AM and I really needed something to eat before I made my way back home. Voila, V Cafe just appeared out of nowhere! The cheese steak wasn’t the best but it did its part. 🙂

2 piece extra crispy chicken tenders meal - KFC

Mmm, I love KFC! I grew up craving the chicken from this chain. It was always a treat to go to KFC and have greasy deliciousness. I’ve always like their mashed potatoes, and now I ALWAYS request my chicken tenders to be dipped in their honey bbq sauce, lol!

Boston clam chowder – Fishermen’s Grotto

Boston clam chowder - Fishermen's Grotto
Cream based chowder served with oyster crackers. Cup $7.50
Fishermen’s Grotto, San Francisco CA

I was skeptical of this restaurant located smack down in the middle of touristy Fisherman’s Wharf, but the food was great! The service was cheesy especially with their outdated uniforms, but very friendly. And the people-watching can’t be beat, lol! This chowder tasted great and had a nice creamy texture.

I loved brunch cocktails, especially when they’re expertly made. These cocktails were ok. The Spa Collins was on the tart side and the Bloody Mary was on the bland side. I did really enjoy the Lucky Lemonade though!

From the elaborate description on their menu, I actually thought there was gonna be more meat, lol! This was ok. I guess I was looking for volume and not necessarily quality when I order this.
