This tasted good, but I’m still reeling from the cost of a couple tablespoons of ice cream these days! Highway robbery I tell you! Meh.

French sparkling wine and pomegranate juice. $7
900 Grayson, Berkeley CA
A nice twist on a regular mimosa. The pomegranate juice was a delicious substitution!

Side soup $2.99
Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery, South San Francisco CA

I was pretty disappointed with this soup. It wasn’t at all spicy and it had a dry quality to it. Ugh!

Multiseed roll. Complimentary

Ham, mortdadella, Italian salami, cheese, mayonnaise, garlic spread, mustard, crushed jalapenos, lettuce, and tomato on Dutch crunch bread. $7.75
Darby Dan Sandwich Co., South San Francisco CA
The sandwiches here are quite large and pretty good! They tend to pile on the spreads so if that doesn’t interest you, I’d suggest requesting a light application, hehe. I also love that their Dutch crunch bread is extra flaky on top!

San Francisco Bay Trail sign.

With roasted garlic, paprika oil, and toast. $4
Toast, Oakland CA
Noms, this had a wonderful texture and tasted great! A wonderful snack on the patio on a beautifully sunny weekend.

Petite scoop $4.45
Fentons Creamery, Oakland CA
This was definitely light and airy with an almost whipped texture. The flavor was good, but OMG, almost five bucks for a this TINY thimbleful of ice cream! Wow, what a rip off!

Grape distilled tequila, orange juice, pomegranate juice, and grenadine. $6.50
900 Grayson, Berkeley CA
This was very refreshing and had a lot of flavor. A great way to start the weekend!

Mmm, these are SO frickin’ good! I think they cram a pound of butter into each cookie which makes them so soft and delicious, lol! Their website even has a Warm Cookie Radar map which shows you the location of the nearest bakery with fresh out-of-the-oven cookies. Genius! $2.39
Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery, South San Francisco CA

South San Francisco Bart station platform.

Black beans, rice, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, spicy pico de gallo salsa. $5.50
La Corneta Taqueria, San Francisco CA
They sure know how to pile on the toppings at La Corneta! The prawns were perfectly cooked, tender and very flavorful. Perhaps, it was a tad on the salty side, but I enjoyed this very much!

Tortilla chips and salsa. Complimentary

Scary ivy-covered house, 17th Street. I would NOT want to live in that thing!

Sauteed eggplant, bell pepper and fresh basil in a red curry and coconut cream sauce with sliced chicken. $8.50
Pad Thai Restaurant, San Francisco CA

I love Thai and Chinese dishes with sauteed eggplant! This dish is very good, especially when they make it hot and spicy.

Ghirardelli Square. Ugh, I will only come here if I have out-of-town visitors.

Hand sliced served on double-baked rye bread with pickles and cole slaw. $12.50
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, San Francisco CA
Wow, that is some fancy slicing! This sandwich has a great smoky flavor and the rye bread is delicious. The cole slaw has a nice horseradish flavor and the cabbage is super fresh and crisp. Noms!

Colorful botanical-themed mural, Church Street.

Red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, carrot, pumpkin, chocolate, and lemon.
Nothing Bundt Cakes, Emeryville CA
These mini bundt cakes are SO yummy! They’re super moist and the cream cheese frosting is sinfully good. I’m a sucker for red velvet and these even had mini chocolate chips in them, noms! I’d never heard of this place before but a co-worker brought a couple dozen to work. OMG, these are ruining my diet but I can’t stop eating them, ugh! LOL
