Chicken, pesto, spinach and feta cheese. $4
Nizario’s Pizza, San Francisco CA
Ah, the good ‘ole 2 AM slice of pizza! I always seem to add more parmesan cheese and dried pepper flakes on top. The better to soak up those pesky Cape Cods, lol!

Mosaic mural artwork, McKinley Elementary School.

Thick rice noodles filled with shrimp and served with sweet soy sauce. These are yummy! $4.50

The fog rolls in past Sutro Tower, Noe Valley. I took this pic one evening when I was walking home from Bart. It was getting chilly as the fog crept in from the ocean.

Pork dumplings. These are a standard dim sum offering and I always seem to order them as a comparative measure. These weren’t too fatty and were of better quality than some other dim sum places.

Orange Indian paintbrush flowers (Castilleja sp., Orobanchaceae). We walked some hill trails near the restaurant and were treated to some spectacular wildflowers!

Roasted tomato, caramelized onion, aged cheddar, garlic aioli and arugula on toasted English muffin, yukon gold potatoes. $9
Mission Beach Cafe, San Francisco CA
This sandwich may look small and normal, but the ingredients were super rich that it made the sandwich filling enough for one person. Because I had also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, I couldn’t finish the sandwich by myself. The melted aged cheddar over the roasted tomato and caramelized onions was particularly delicious.

San Francisco themed mural, 21st Street, The Mission. This colorful mural depicts many things and people found in The City.

I couldn’t resist getting a side of savory biscuits drenched in a creamy, mushroom gravy. This was SO yummy and filling. Ugh, I’m such a piggy! $5

Sauteed shrimp, squid, and scallop with onions, chili, carrot, bell pepper and basil leaves. A la carte $13.95
Thai House Express, San Francisco CA
I like the flavors in there, but the squid was a bit overcooked so it was tough to chew. The service also tends to be inconsistent. It ranges from the most attentive service to having to flag down the waiter depending on the night.

Salvia “Hot Lips” (Salvia microphylla, Lamiaceae). I love the vibrant red and white flowers of this plant (Baby sage, Graham’s sage, Blackcurrant sage).
