This was a great value, but the beef was really dry. Thank goodness there was plenty of hummus to help moisten the beef. I will say that the meat was flavorful though.

The meatloaf was moist and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were silky smooth. The combination of the bean chili and meatloaf was a bit odd, but the flavors were good. Overall, this was a decent dish.

Wow, this thing is greasy as hell but SO delicious! I’m guessing the grease is mostly from the grilled onions but this is a must-have topping on my sausages. I also love that they have curry ketchup. The sausage itself is super flavorful and grilled to perfection!

Outside tables at Rosamunde, Mission Street. On a bright, sunny day this is the best seat in the house. I just relax, enjoy my food, and watch the eclectic crowd walk by.

This is a simple dish and was absolutely delicious! I loved all the different pea parts and the guanciale added a great rich flavor. Noms!
Tree shadows on red and blue walls, Guerrero Street. Some houses in San Francisco are painted in vibrant colors like these. It makes for interesting and beautiful strolls.

I was surprised how small this was when it arrived at the table, but it was actually very filling especially with the veggies. I just took pieces of the lamb shish kebab and wrapped them in roti with some of the veggies. The lamb was dry so I wish they had given a side of raita to add some moisture.
Purple-pink geranium flowers (Pelargonium sp., Geraniaceae), Mission Dolores. I walk by the Mission Dolores every work day when I’m heading to the gym from 16th Street Station Bart. I never really noticed how pretty they’ve kept the small side lawn.
Thinly sliced pork (dwegi gui) smothered in spicy chili pepper paste. Served with steamed rice, chap chae (Korean style glass noodles) and vegetables. $6.95
Sorabol, San Bruno CA
This probably wasn’t the best thing to eat after getting a teeth cleaning at the dentist, but I was starving and craving this yummy pork. Sorabol definitely isn’t authentic Korean by any means, but it somehow hits the spot nonetheless.

I don’t really know why I keep coming back to this place. Probably because it’s one of the few Indian restaurants in The Castro. The food is decent and they’re pretty quick so I can’t complain.

The Girl & The Fig, Sonoma CA
This was very tasty. The duck confit had great flavor and the hash was beautifully made. The grilled scallion was a nice addition!
Mission San Francisco de Solano. This old church is just a block from The Girl & The Fig. It is the northernmost Alta California Franciscan mission.
Hobb’s bacon, avocado, roasted toamtoes, butter lettuce on ciabatta bread. Served with coal roasted onion dip and fresh cut gaufrette potatoes. $19
Farley Bar, Sausalito CA
This sandwich was SO good! The crab was delicious and they weren’t skimpy with it either. And do I even have to say anything about the bacon – omg, loved it! This sandwich was also quite large so David and I had a hard time finishing it, but there was no way we were going to let it go to waste!
Don’t think that the waffle fries were a throw away either. They were absolutely delicious and perfectly fried. And that roasted onion dip – amazing! We were SO full that we unfortunately had to leave some of this on the plate, hehe.
Presidio Yacht Club, Horseshoe Bay. San Francisco Bay is so relaxing and beautiful especially facing The City.

The bloody mary was very good, but it was also a bloody mary from the other table that the waitress spilled all over the table, my leg and shoes! I wasn’t mad, but an apology (or some form of acknowledgement) would have been nice. And extra napkins to wipe it up, geez!
The view of Golden Gate Bridge from Cavallo Point is stunning! A great way to start a Sonoma weekend trip.
Three little sandwiches: barbeque pulled pork and cole slaw, beef brisket with chimichurri sauce and caramelized onions, and smoked chicken with lettuce tomato and aioli. $7.95
The Dancing Pig, San Francisco CA
The overal theme of these sliders was that the proteins were dry. The flavor combinations should work beautifully but the execution needs to improve. I will say that the price point is very good at The Dancing Pig! The food just needs a little refinement.
Pink and orange Lantana camara (Verbenaceae), 17th Street. I love that the lantana is still covered in morning dew. Simply beautiful!
