When the side salad is the best part of your meal, there’s something wrong. The housemade English muffin was dense, doughy and undercooked, the tomato confit was on the sour side, and the porchetta was too fatty and extremely difficult to chew.

Mmm, this was good. Very delcious and comforting food. I kinda wish the salmon was in bigger chunks but I understand that it was a hash. It was also very pretty with the salsa verde on the poached eggs.

Noms! This place rocks and the workers are pretty cool too. The pastrami is SO delicious as is their rye bread. I wish the bread was thicker, but that’s only because I want more of it, hehe.

I really liked this omelette. It had simple ingredients, but it was executed perfectly. The egg was fluffy and I really enjoyed the peppery arugula folded inside.

This wasn’t what I thought it was gonna be, hehe! I thought it was gonna be more of a hash. The baked tomatoes, olives, and sauage are actually underneath the eggs and they tasted weird. I think it was kind of an odd combination of flavors and would have worked better as a hash anyway.

This quiche was definitely a rich, decadent breakfast treat! I love Tartine Bakery and that they have a variety of sweet and savory breakfast options. The line gets ridiculously long though so I’ve recently found myself ducking into Craftsman and Wolves when I’m too impatient.

Pink false freesia flowers (Freesia laxa, Iridaceae), Divisadero Street. It took me a while to figure out what this plant was, but I had a hunch that it was in the Iris family. I felt kinda stupid when I realized that Freesia was in this family, oops! Anyway, I love the red spots on the lower three petals.

Noms, this was SO good! I loved the house made chorizo and the sauteed chilies mixed into the scramble. Mmm, I’m hungry just thinking about this dish again! Definitely not an authentic chilaquiles, but it was packed with delicious flavors.

Pink ‘Coral Seas’ passion flowers (Passiflora jamesonii, Passifloraceae), 25th Street. These passion vines are just around the corner from my house. I don’t think the color combinations are as dramatic as some other passion flowers, but I don’t mind. The solid pink petals are stil beautiful!

This sandwich may look small and normal, but the ingredients were super rich that it made the sandwich filling enough for one person. Because I had also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, I couldn’t finish the sandwich by myself. The melted aged cheddar over the roasted tomato and caramelized onions was particularly delicious.
