Cassoulet – Cafe Bastille

Cassoulet - Cafe Bastille
Duck confit, toulouse and garlic sausage, and white beans. Three course dinner prix fixe $35
Cafe Bastille, San Francisco CA

I love cassoulets because they’re so hearty and delicious. And with both duck confit and sausage, you really can’t go wrong. This duck was nice but I actually liked the sausage even more. Noms!

Evening drinks – Perry’s

Gold Rush cocktail - Perry's
Gold Rush: Four Rose’s bourbon, honey syrup, lemon. $10
Perry’s, San Francisco CA

This place is an interesting mix of locals and tourists. The bartenders are all pretty nice and professional which is what really counts! I’m really liking the combination of bourbon and lemon lately.

Bacon and eggs – Wingmasters Sports Bar

Bacon and eggs - Wingmasters Sports Bar
Two eggs over-easy with sizzling fresh bacon, Yukon Gold hashbrowns and toast. $7.59
Wingmasters Sports Bar, Seattle WA

This basic breakfast is hearty enough and at a reasonable price. The servers here are really great and the atmosphere is upbeat and friendly. It’s a wonderful spot to grab a beer and wings to watch sports tv in Ballard.

Mimosa - Wingmasters Sports Bar

Mimosa. Gotta start the day off right! 🙂

Brunch cocktails – Nopa

Brunch cocktails - Nopa

Ukiah 75: Germain-Robin brandy, honey, lemon, Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine. $10
Haiku II: Hibiki whiskey, amaro Montenegro, fresh squeezed lemon juice. $11
Nopa, San Francisco CA

These cocktails were delicious and a wonderful way to begin our lovely brunch at Nopa. This place is POPULAR so be prepared to wait if you don’t have a reservation. We came early to get on the list, and luckily I think someone cancelled so we got seated at the end of the first seating. The bad part was that by that point, the kitchen was slammed with all the orders so it took a long time to actually get food. Thank goodness for cocktails!

Mimosas – Plow

Mimosas - Plow

With grapefruit juice. $8.50
With orange juice. $8
Plow, San Francisco CA

Yummy mimosas lead to a happy me! I’m kinda annoyed that they charge fifty cents extra for the grapefuit juice though especially since it isn’t listed on their menu.

No Cell Phone sign

No Cell Phone sign at the Plow counter. Oops, I still used my to snap food pics! 😉

Brunch sparkling cocktails – Liberty Cafe

Brunch sparkling cocktails - Liberty Cafe

Cypress: California sparkling wine and fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. $8
Mimosa: California sparkling wine and fresh-squeezed orange juice. $8
Liberty Cafe, San Francisco CA

I was appalled by the horrible customer service at Liberty Cafe. They super slow and snarky, as if the patrons were doing them a favor by eating at their establishment. Please! I will definitely not be returning to this lame restaurant!

The Big Unit cocktail – Hi Tops

The Big Unit cocktail - Hi Tops

Tito’s tequila, lemon, elderflower, champagne. $10
Hi Tops, San Francisco CA

Meh, I’m kinda tired of the specialty cocktails at Hi Tops. The ingredients usually sound great, but somehow the actual cocktails are usually a letdown. This cocktail was too tart and had no body, ugh!

This was a very cute brunch location with great service and awesome food. These mimosas were tasty and well balanced. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the warm morning.

Mimosa – Circa 59

Mimosa - Circa 59
Standard bloody mary. $7
Circa 59, Palm Springs CA

I’ve already expressed my extreme disappointment of this restaurant so I don’t have to say too much more. This restaurant sadly relies heavily on the posh hotel and hip clientele and has placed little to no importance on the actual food or service.

Circa 59 tables
Notice the empty water glasses at the table during this hot, sunny day. We were stranded at our table without a server in sight. After sweating for a while, we were finally able to flag down a manager to get us some water.
