Chard and chipotle pizza – Arizmendi Bakery

Chard and chipotle pizza - Arizmendi Bakery
With red onions and cheddar cheese. $2.50 per slice
Arizmendi Bakery, San Francisco CA

I love Arizmendi’s daily pizzas! This was a new combination for me and I really enjoyed it. The chard and chipotle flavors were lovely and I always enjoy the sourdough crust. The extra sliver that they throw in is always much appreciated!

Coppa, mortadella and Swiss sandwich – Lucca Ravioli Company

Coppa, mortadella and Swiss sandwich - Lucca Ravioli Company
On hard sourdough, mayo and mustard packets on the side. $5.95
Lucca Ravioli Company, San Francisco CA

This delicious, no frills sandwich is sliced to order and pretty large for six bucks! The meats are yummy and they put a good amount of it in the sammy. Yay! Next time I’ll probably get the soft sourdough bread though. This was a little too hard for me, especially since I didn’t put any condiments on it.

Spicy chicken McBites – McDonald’s

Spicy chicken McBites - McDonald's
“Poppable pieces of tender chicken breast with the perfect balance of heat and flavor.” 410 calories, 25 g fat. Regular $2.99
McDonald’s, South San Francisco CA

I really need to stop going to fast food joints to try their newest offerings. I’m always disappointed! These McBites were super dry and not very flavorful. Definitely not worth the calories.

Another delicious brunch dish! I particularly liked the nice sear on the chicken sausage. Everything was super flavorful and tasted fresh and spring-y.

Castro Castle Guest House, 17th Street

Castro Castle Guest House, 17th Street. I’ve always thought that this building was super cheesy looking and out of place. But I appreciate that it has SO much character. I don’t think I’d ever want to stay here though.

Cape cod cocktail – Lone Palm

Cape cod cocktail - Lone Palm

Vodka with soda and a splash of cranberry juice.
Lone Palm, San Francisco CA

This place has got to be one of the most random neighborhood bars I’ve ever been to, and that’s a good thing! There’s a single palm tree in front of it, and the interior is decorated in a cheesy (awesome) art deco style. Seems like a perfect bar to me!

Louisiana blue crab and P.E.I. mussels bomba rice – Beast and the Hare

Louisiana blue crab and P.E.I. mussels bomba rice - Beast and the Hare
With chorizo and citrus relish. $17
Beast and the Hare, San Francisco CA

I was confused with the plateware. Omg, my entree bowl looked like it was appetizer sized! I noticed at other tables the the pasta was also served in these tiny bowls. They definitely looked inappropriately small. Besides that, I did enjoy this dish. It was nice and citrus-y, but I did think that the blue crab got lost among everything else. And the price seemed a bit steep for the four pieces of mussels and flaked crab. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience but a few things, primarily that unacceptable wait between courses, just needed to be tweaked.

Crisp duck leg confit - Foreign Cinema
Omg, this was SO good and everything was cooked beautifully! The duck was delicious as were the poached eggs. The five spice cracklings were a fun and yummy addition.

Branded paper towels - Foreign Cinema
I thought it was cool that Foreign Cinema had branded paper towels in their bathroom. So classy, lol!
