Omg, this croissant was really delicious! I loved the combo of banana, chocolate, and almond. The croissant was also so flaky and buttery. Noms!

Banana chocolate lollipop and candied gooseberry. Bar seating $180
Pineapple & Pearls, Washington DC
This was a fun ending to a fabulous meal! I loved all the different fruit, flavors, and textures in this dessert fruit plate. Thanks Pineapple and Pearls!
Candied rhubarb and pineapple.
‘Chunky monkey’ ice cream, peanut butter crunch. $9
1760, San Francisco CA
This was probably one of the better dishes I tried at 1760 and I’m not even a huge dessert person. That doesn’t mean that this dessert completely rocked, just that the other dishes weren’t all that good. I’m also a sucker for caramelized bananas! Although the plate was a little messy and chaotic, this dish tasted pretty yummy! (The banana bread could’ve been a little warmer though).
Americano. $3
Grilled chicken, steamed vegetables, rice, chicken jicama salad, dinner roll, mango parfait. Complimentary
Manila (MNL) to San Francisco (SFO), Philippine Airlines
Chicken inasal is a well known Ilonggo dish of marinated chicken that’s grilled. I don’t think I’d ever had it before, but this airplane version wasn’t very good. I don’t know what spices they used, but it was kind of sour and unpleasant tasting. I’m not sure how authentic the PAL version was, but I don’t think I’d eat it again if that was how it was supposed to taste.
Filipino street food cart with banana cue, potato wedges, and what I think are large lumpias?
Shaved ice with mango soft serve, mango, banana, pineapple, watermelon, jackfruit, red bean, powdered milk, condensed milk and chocolate sauce, topped with a cherry. 150 PHP
Halowich – Boracay PHILIPPINES
Omg, it’s been really hot here in San Francisco this week so I thought I’d post this awesome halo-halo dessert from Boracay! This thing was monster and so delicious to eat on a hot sunny day. I’m not sure how much sugar is packed in this cup, but I don’t want to know! Just shove it into my belly. 🙂
Panorama shot of Station 2 beach.
Banana, walnut, vanilla ice cream. Pre fixe menu
Mozzeria, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this was pretty good and I’m not even into really sweet desserts. The brownie was moist and not super sweet as brownies go, thank goodness. I also liked that they bruleed the bananas individually. A great way to finish off a less than stellar meal. 🙂
Coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia, Fagaceae), Bon Tempe Lake.
Grilled fish, pork and chicken, pork apritada (stew), kangkong (water spinach) with shrimp paste, pinakbet (calabaza squash and string beans), pancit, and banana cue (deep fried banana coated in caramelized brown sugar).
Villa Escudero, San Pablo City PHILIPPINES
I was amazed at the variety of food they had especially since the service area was directly in the water! They also kept everything nice and warm, and had servers bring drinks to your table. This was a really fun, new and exciting dining experience. Everyone was just really happy and thankful to be eating at such a great location. And the food was really good too!
It’s SO cool that you get to eat lunch in the water from a waterfall!
The stream flows down through the entire dining area.
You have to be careful though because some of the rocks can be slippery especially closer to the waterfall. Everyone is taking pictures of their experience. 🙂
I would go back just to eat in this amazingly beautiful setting again!
$3.49
Java Detour, Las Vegas NV
I attended another conference in Vegas and always had to run to the coffee shop downstairs to grab food beforehand. None of it was really that good but it kept my stomach at bay during sessions. 🙂
16 ounce coffee. $3.49
Banana. $1.50
Statues facing the Flamingo.
Strawbeery, banana, and vanilla. Small cup $2.15
Waiola Shave Ice, Honolulu HI
Mmm, this shaved ice was SO yummy! The ice is super fine and fluffy, unlike the the kind we get on the mainland. The syrup is also very good and not overly sweet. The service could use some improvement though.
Makua and Kila (Surfer Boy and Seal) statue, Waikiki Beach.
Banana and coffee. Complimentary
Red Carpet Club, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
I hate morning flights, but I do love getting free snacks and drinks at the Red Carpet Club. And few cocktails are always a great idea before boarding a long flight, lol!
Bloody mary. Complimentary
Terminal 2 Air Train station.
Assorted mini pastries – chocolate croissant, berry muffin, and coffee cake. Gilt City brunch menu
Twenty Five Lusk, San Francisco CA
Who doesn’t love freebies, yipee! They really know how to welcome guests at Twenty Five Lusk. The pastries were delicous and I love the 2 types of butter they were served with.
Banana smoothies. These were a nice touch to kick off our brunch meal.
Butter and salt.
Glorified eggs benedict with turkey, avocado, tomato, and hollandaise. Served with fruit. $11.99
Peg’s Glorified Ham N Eggs, Reno NV
This was also gross. The hollandaise had a weird texture and flavor and the avocado had a moldy black section. The deli turkey didn’t really add anything to the dish. I liked the fruit I guess.
Beginning of the Mount Rose Summit Trail. The summit looks SO far away!
