With orange juice. Complimentary
Charlotte (CLT) to San Francisco (SFO), United Airlines
These cookies were fine, but kinda too dry and crumbly for my taste. I definitely should have requested coffee instead of orange juice. Hehe!

Toasted waffle filled with caramel, cinnamon and bourbon vanilla. Served with coffee. Complimentary
Dulles (IAD) to Chicago (SFO), United Airlines
United has been giving these out for a while now, and I really like them. They’re not too sweet and I like its soft, chewy texture.
With red wine and water. Complimentary
Rome (FCO) to Chicago (ORD), United Airlines
I love flying internationally. Even though I’m back in Economy, at least we still get free wine and beer on international flights. And their house wine is typically drinkable. 🙂
Rice, steamed vegetables, roll, Treacle toffee ice cream. Complimentary
Rome (FCO) to Chicago (ORD), United Airlines
This wasn’t very good. The chicken curry was ok, the rice was dry, the radicchio salad was gross, the roll was a throwaway, and the ice cream was marginal. Hmm… United can definitely do better.
Edam cheese, pesto. Complimentary
Rome (FCO) to Chicago (ORD), United Airlines
This sandwich looked sad, and it tasted sad as well. There was nothing appealing about it at all, but I really don’t expect much from United.
Served with potatoes, fruit, raspberry yogurt, blueberry yogurt cake. Complimentary
San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), United Airlines
This was actually pretty gross. The egg omelet had that weird overcooked texture, and the potatoes were super soft and grainy. Everything was just lifeless. 😦
Served with steamed vegetables, rice, side salad, and dinner roll. Complimentary
San Francisco (SFO) to London (LHR), United Airlines
Ugh, airline food… This was decent at least, but I don’t expect much from United Airlines. It’s just mandatory food to get people full so that they can fall asleep. I can usually sleep for an entire flight, but I had some difficulty falling asleep on this flight so I ended up watching a bunch of movies.
With chicken bun and chicken dumpling, croissant roll. Complimentary
Beijing (PEK) to San Francisco (SFO), United Airlines
Talk about carb loading! This meal was disgusting. Everything tasted horrible and was painfully dry and bland. Super fail!
Roasted potatoes, orzo salad, bread, and vanilla ice cream. Complimentary
Beijing (PEK) to San Francisco (SFO), United Airlines
This did not taste good. I think I only ate a couple bites of the beef and not much else. Even the orzo salad was flavorless and plain. I did eat the vanilla ice cream. I guess you really can’t mess up prepackaged ice cream!
Rose Kennedy cocktail (vodka, cranberry, splash of soda), coffe, blueberry mini muffin. Complimentary
Red Carpet Club, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Airports always become less stressful when you have access to airline lounges. I love getting complimentary drinks and snacks, and most importantly free reliable wifi.
During boarding, I helped this lady get her huge oversized carry-on into the overhead compartment. The airline stewardess was appreciative for my assistance so she gave me a free cocktail as a “thank you”, score! I guess it pays to do a random good deed.. Complimentary
Seattle (SEA) to San Francisco (SFO), United Airlines
On a parmesan pretzel roll, with potato chips and chocolate cluster.
London (LHR) to San Francisco (SFO), United Airlines
It’s nice to receive a warm “breakfast”, and this was decent. The roll was on the hard and chewy side, but it had ham and cheese so it was bearable. The potato chips were throw-aways (very poor quality). The chocolate cluster wasn’t very good either, but it I’m not gonna complain too much about a sweet treat!
Diet Coke and pretzel sticks.
