The price has gone up $1 since my last visit, but I will say that this presentation looks cleaner than last time. And the shrimp also looked better, weren’t stuck together and over-sauced.

I liked these, but they were certainly greasy! I think they had too much oil in the wok and the wok was too hot when they cooked these. I did like all the chiles in the sauce though.

I loved that these wings were SO saucy, but they just weren’t very good. They were super dry and old tasting – liked they’d been frozen for a really long time. Ugh, that’s what I get for eating cheap happy hour food!

The Fremont Diner, Sonoma CA
Of all the menu items we tried, this was probably my least favorite. Nothing really sang on this dish especially compared to the other plates. Even the brisket was just kinda “meh”.
Dipped in savory beer batter, lightly fried and tossed in house made sriracha-lime aioli. $10

Apparently this location has since closed! Geez, I must be bad luck, lol! Anyway, these were pretty good. I liked the sriracha-lime aioli, and the beer batter was nice and light.

Senor Ramon Taqueria, Sterling VA
This place serves food at Crooked Run Brewing, and the tacos were pretty good. They were simple and the meats had enough flavor. I’m kinda biased from all the Mexican food in the Mission in San Francisco, but these were decent.
Candied bacon, Oregon blue cheese, smoked tomato ketchup, bibb lettuce, caramelized onion aioli, pickle, brioche bun. Served with portabello mushroom soup. $21
Barking Frog, Woodinville WA
This was good, and the beef patty was juicy and cooked nicely. The mushroom soup was also very tasty although I should have gone for a lighter side since the burger was quite large and heavy.

This super was very tasty and I think the curried granola really made it special. It added a unique flavor and need texture to the velvety soup. I will admit that the curry flavor began to dominate everything else towards the end. A very good soup overall.

This was good. It was on the basic side and there wasn’t a lot of anything, but I still liked the flavor of the meats.

The price of this dish has gone up considerably over the last years, and it’s also less saucy these days. I’m less of a fan of it now. It seems like they’ve changed the recipe for the worse and charge more for it.

These little bites were yummy and fun to eat. I liked the black pepper gravy too, but I think this ended up being to heavy to eat by myself. This would have been great to share with another diner. It tasted great though, but just too rich to eat the entire thing.

This turnover was very good, and despite all that raw sugar on top, it didn’t taste overly sweet. I loved the plentiful amount of apple stuffed inside!
