Cream cheese, tomato, red onions, capers, bagel. $14
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
There was a lot of salmon on this plate. I couldn’t eat most of it. I wish the bagel was better though. It was really poor quality.

Scrambled eggs, ham, fruit, wheat toast. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
This was ok. They give you plenty of ham, but the scrambled eggs were my favorite. They weren’t very light and fluffy. I still love their complimentary muffins though!
Blueberry muffins with butter.
Bleu cheese dipping sauce. $10
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
These were pretty good! I liked the saucy glaze, and bleu cheese is always preferable over ranch for me! Hehe!
Tortilla chips, 3 cheese blend, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
Meh… This was just REALLY dry! The steak was dry, the chips were dry, the pico was dry. It’s like this thing sat under the salamander for 15 minutes before getting topped for serving. Geez!
Pork chorizo, jalapenos, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, served with fruit. $14
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
This omelet was pretty lifeless. It was overcooked and dry and even the filling ingredients couldn’t help it out. Hmm…
Mini blueberry muffin.
Bordelaise, onions, potatoes, swiss cheese, fruit, wheat toast. $16
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
This was decent. There was a lot of food, but everything seemed a bit dry and bland. Even my eggs ordered medium was just plain fried.
Mini blueberry muffins.
Hand-hammered cutlet, two eggs over medium, country gravy, toast and breakfast potatoes. $14
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
OMG, this cutlet was ridiculously HUGE! I can usually eat A LOT, but I couldn’t even begin to finish this thing, lol. It was pretty good, maybe a bit on the dry side, but the gravy and breading were flavorful. I think my heart is screaming from the sight of this again, hehe.
Mini blueberry muffin. Delicious!
Ground turkey, swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, secret sauce on a Kaiser roll, side salad. $15
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
I love Escena. The setting is gorgeous, the service is wonderful, and it’s a great value. This turkey sandwich was pretty large and they have a lot of add-on options to personalize it to your taste.
Mini blueberry muffins.
Crab cake, old bay tartar sauce. Pulled pork, jack and coke bbq sauce, slaw. Natural beef, cheddar, secret sauce, Achiote chicken, pulled spicy chicken, guacamole. Served with fries and a pickle. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
Mmm, all these sliders were pretty good but I think the pulled pork was my favorite. I also enjoyed that they tried to differentiate the sliders by having different toppings and sauces.
Trio of pulled pork sliders. $9
Had to order these another day since I liked them so much and they’re a great value.
View of Coachella Valley from Mt. San Jacinto summit.
Apple, grapes, Temecula honey, crackers. $12
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
Omg, they certainly gave us A LOT of cheese! We weren’t expecting such a large plate when we ordered it, but we’re not complaining, hehe. I’m not sure what all the cheeses were but there an herb-crusted goat cheese, bleu cheese, brie, gouda, some kind of cheddar, a soft sheep’s milk cheese, and a couple other kinds. I can never say no to cheese so I liked everything. And the honeycomb chunk was awesome!
Cholla Cactus Garden filled with Teddy Bear chollas (Cylindropuntia bigelovii, Cactaceae), Joshua Tree National Park.
Popcorn shrimp with cabbage slaw and salsa. $3
Escena Lounge & Grill, Palm Springs CA
These tacos were pretty tasty and at $3 a pop they made the perfect afternoon snack! I know it’s kinda ghetto for me to admit it, but the popcorn shrimp was probably my favorite. I don’t eat a lot of fried seafood so perhaps I just had a craving for it that day, hehe.
Chicken tinga with guacamole and salsa. $3
Carne asada with guacamole and salsa. $3
