I had to try it, lol! And, of course, I was underwhelmed – even at 2 AM.

I thought that it was appropriate to post this today since the San Francisco Giants are playing the Detroit Tigers this evening in Game 1 of the 2012 World Series! Matt Cain put out a stellar performance in Game 7 of the NLCS to help get the Giants to this point. GO GIANTS!!!
Oh, and the sandwich was delicious!

Dawn comes to San Francisco. Hopefully the day will end with an SF Giants win!!!

I really liked this omelette. It had simple ingredients, but it was executed perfectly. The egg was fluffy and I really enjoyed the peppery arugula folded inside.

Slow roasted with carrots and pearl onions over sour cream mashed potatoes. $19
Trio Restaurant, Palm Springs CA
This was pretty good and the beef was tender. I enjoyed that the roast had a good amount of fat for extra flavor. It was definitely a comforting dish.

Evening happens pretty quickly in PS because of the mountains on the western side of the city.

Hmm, this was a little on the bland side so I just put a lot of the different dipping sauces on top. Don’t think I’ll order this one again. $6

Sunny side eggs over a bed of baked tomatoes, cheese, olives and sausage served with potatoes and fruit. $11
Jake’s, Palm Springs CA
This wasn’t what I thought it was gonna be, hehe! I thought it was gonna be more of a hash. The baked tomatoes, olives, and sauage are actually underneath the eggs and they tasted weird. I think it was kind of an odd combination of flavors and would have worked better as a hash anyway.
