Wow, this was SO salty! It was kind of disgusting. I would try to quickly eat one then have to chug some water to combat the saltiness. Ew!

My liver hates me right now! Since Codes has been here, I’ve been going out and drinking too much. This must come to an end! I’ve seriously thought about not drinking for the next few weeks and see how long I can actually last.

I also got a street cleaning ticket this morning – $55! So lame, I totally forgot that the car was parked on our side of street. Money down the drain. 😦

Went to XLB Kitchen to celebrate Mats’ birthday. Rapunzel and I ordered the lunch combination again with an order of xiao long bao and it was SO much food. We didn’t finish everything.

These were ok. I liked the sauce and how fatty they were, but they were also dry, over-cooked, and tough. Don’t think I’d order these again.

I totally lucked out when I went to get this because I had to wait a couple minutes and they were straight out of the oven. I don’t know if it’s because they were so fresh or if Yank Sing truly does make the best sesame balls, but these frickin’ ROCKED!

Kind of plain and simple, but the sesame soy vinaigrette kept it light and fresh. Perhaps it was a little overdressed, too. There was definitely a lot of it!

This is my absolute favorite bagel breakfast sandwich EVER! I always get it on some kind of wheat bagel and ask for “light on the cream cheese” (just to be safe), hehe. It’s SO flavorful and you don’t feel gross and heavy after eating it. NOMS!

I love that Slider’s cooks their burgers to-order! Their rotating grill is at the front of the restaurant and your patty goes on as soon as you order so your burger is served hot and fresh! They have a toppings bar where you can add whatever you like to your juicy burger.

Wow, I loved these delicious bites!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spicy hamachi roll on a sushi menu, and while these weren’t at all spicy, they were very tasty.  And you can’t beat the happy hour price!  I enjoyed that the hamachi wasn’t chopped to a pulp – they still had a great solid texture.  Noms!

Omg, this has got to be the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had!  Other versions can sometimes be over-breaded and greasy, but these were perfect.  They had large strips of chicken, only lightly breaded, and not greasy at all.  The sticky sauce was absolutely amazing and the toasted sesames gave it an additional flavor dimension.  SO good, definitely worth a return visit! 2 person lunch combo $14.95

Why are “spicy” rolls never really that spicy at Japanese restaurants?  This roll was more sweet than spicy to me.  I think it had some good flavors but lacked the spice.  C’mon guys, gimme some heat!

This is one of those wonderful burgers that melts in your mouth.  The bun is so light and buttery that it simply dissolves against the roof of your mouth.  The beef patty is exceptionally juicy and the entire burger is intoxicating!  Noms!
