These were delightful little bites to help kick off the meal. The small size was fun to pop in your mouth and they were very tasty.

Vanilla ice cream with fudge and chocolate covered peanut butter cups. Single $3.69
Minnie Mae’s Sweets, Memphis TN
It was pouring outside after my tour of Graceland, so I snuck into Minnie Mae’s for an ice cream cone. This flavor was really tasty and a great way to wait out the rain!

Parmesan, calabrian chile, butter, lemon. $14
Hog & Hominy, Memphis
Even though these oysters weren’t raw and fresh (my favorite way to have oysters), this preparation was really flavorful. I loved the texture of the wood fired oysters and its toppings. The calabrian chile was a great addition.

Cross-Town Fade cocktail – Belle Meade bourbon, fernet branca, HH tonic, lemon, ananda ipa. $12

Celery-Fiji apple slaw, mayo, pickle, bun. $8
The Bird, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I’m still loving this chicken sandwich even after The Bird has been open for a while. The fried chicken thigh is so juicy, tender, and flavorful so I’m sure I’m not going to get tired of it any time soon!

Cup $5
The Beauty Shop Restaurant, Memphis TN
This chilled soup was REALLY good! It had a wonderful tomato basil flavor, and I loved its thick consistency. Yum! This was very refreshing to eat on a warm day.

Lorina French blood orange drink.

Crushed orange and cherry served with “Peabody Select” Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, soda. $15
Lobby Bar at The Peabody, Memphis TN
I came to The Peabody to see the march of The Peabody ducks, hehe! I know it’s super cheesy, but I love this kind of stuff. I must say that it was kind of a cool experience. The build up was much cooler than the march itself, but it was nice to relax at The Lobby bar while waiting.

Radish, sichmi togarashi. $15
Barzotto, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this pasta was really tasty. I liked that there wasn’t a lot of different toppings so you could really enjoy the flavors. The braised hen was very tender and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

Ghost River Gold golden ale and buttery popcorn.
Memphis Riverboats, Memphis TN
This was a nice little snack to have during the riverboat tour. The popcorn was really salty so it was good to have the Ghost River beer to wash it down with.

Grandma’s homemade macaroni and cheese with bacon. Served with tater tots. Single $7.59
Tacker’s Shake Shack, Marion AR
I liked the idea of this burger, but the beef patty was overcooked and dry. I did like the macaroni and cheese though, and everything is better with bacon! I only ate half of the burger though, but all of the tater tots, hehe.

The meal started with a plate of grilled pita bread and hummus. I liked how fresh the pita was, but would have appreciated a bit more hummus.

Ghost River Brewery, Memphis TN
This place is just a short jaunt from downtown. The taproom is a pretty open space and they have a few tables on the patio and a yard where there’s a food truck. I liked their selection of beer and the servers were very nice.

Eggs over medium, sausage patties, grits, biscuits and gravy. $8.59
Blue Plate Cafe, Memphis TN
Omg, food in Memphis is definitely cheaper than in San Francisco. This was SO much food for less than nine bucks. It definitely isn’t the healthiest food – I mean the give you extra butter for the grits AND the biscuits and gravy, lol! It’s definitely flavorful though.
