Afternoon wines – Devon On The Wharf

Afternoon wines - Devon On The Wharf
Clos Marguerite Rose ($11.50 NZD) and Passage Rock Chardonnay ($13 NZD).
Devon On The Wharf, Devonport NZ

I loved the location of this restaurant with the amazing view of downtown Auckland. I just wish their bar program would have been smarter than using tinted glasses to serve wine. This made our wine look disgusting and kept throwing me off every time I wanted to take a sip. Our wine looked liked an appletini and Kool-Aid for god’s sake!

Wood oven shrimp – Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Co.

Wood oven shrimp - Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Co.
Jumbo shrimp in spicy sauce with fresh herbs, garlic, butter, and Creole seasonings. Served with French bread. $13
Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Co., Memphis TN

I liked this dish. The shrimp were a bit overcooked, but the sauce was SO tasty! It almost tasted like garlic shrimp tapas. Yum!

Boscos Golden Ale - Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Co.
Boscos Golden Ale. $5.50

Peabody Old Fashioned – Lobby Bar at The Peabody

Peabody Old Fashioned - Lobby Bar at The Peabody
Crushed orange and cherry served with “Peabody Select” Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, soda. $15
Lobby Bar at The Peabody, Memphis TN

I came to The Peabody to see the march of The Peabody ducks, hehe! I know it’s super cheesy, but I love this kind of stuff. I must say that it was kind of a cool experience. The build up was much cooler than the march itself, but it was nice to relax at The Lobby bar while waiting.

Wiseacre Tiny Bomb pilsner – Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

Wiseacre Tiny Bomb pilsner - Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
16 oz. $5.25
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, Memphis TN

This place is huge, but there weren’t many people there when we arrive late on a Sunday night. It looked pretty empty. They have a very extensive beer selection so it was really cool. I opted for a local beer and it was very tasty.
