Mesibah menu $53 per person
Zahav, Philadelphia PA
These potatoes were great! I actually liked that there were different sizes fried to different degrees, because I personally like the really crispy ones. So yummy!

With butter and jam. Brunch buffet $29.99
Farmers Fishers Bakers, Washington DC
Mmm, these were great! They were both nice and warm and so comforting. That icing on the cinnamon roll was everything! 🙂

Tomato-braised, parmesan, rosemary. $10
Corridor, San Francisco CA
This was delicious. I liked all the peppers thrown into the sauce and on top of the dish, and the homemade croutons were killer! Mmm…

Bloody Mary style, potato, fennel. $9
Rapp Session, Richmond VA
This was really good! I liked the spiciness of the bloody mary flavor, and it was actually a pretty sizable portion for the price. There was quite a few oysters in there too!

$3.95
Annapolis Ice Cream Company, Annapolis MD
This ice cream was disgusting! The texture was icy, and ice cream was WAY too sweet. I didn’t even try to finish it all. #fail

Cocktail sauce, mignonette, lemon. Half dozen $20
Boxing Room, San Francisco CA
Boxing Room has since closed since I last visit, but I’m finally getting around to posting these pics. I’m kinda sad that it closed because I liked the food there, and there aren’t many good cajun/creole restaurants in The City. Anyway, I’ve already tried its replacement, Barcino, but that’s for another time.
These Fanny Bay oysters were very tasty – bright, clean, fresh, briny, and cleanly shucked. I could’ve easily eaten a dozen on my own, but didn’t want to break the bank.

Flatbread and pimento cheese. Complimentary

Jumbo lump crab, dry sherry, chicken stock, cream, house crab seasoning. $7
The Point Crab House & Grill, Arnold MD
This soup was delicious! I liked the thick, creamy texture and the wonderful crab flavor. The crab seasoning really elevated the flavor too!

Served with French fries, tartar sauce. Happy hour $7
Red Hot & Blue, Herndon VA
These were small and there weren’t many, but they tasted pretty good. I liked the cornmeal crust. The fries were the soft, limp kind but I actually really liked them. The not most heart healthy plate though, lol!

Bacon-wrapped and buttermilk battered chicken breast, fried and served between maple infused waffles with jalapeño cole slaw and Jay’s spicy maple barbecue sauce. $8
Soul Groove, San Francisco CA
The chicken was really flavorful and juicy. So juicy that it was pretty drippy, but I liked it! The description is very misleading though since there are no waffles to be seen, just a regular bun. Very odd! Or maybe they gave me the wrong sandwich, but all of their sandwiches indicate waffles(!).

Daily vegetable salads. Mesibah menu $53 per person
Zahav, Philadelphia PA
I couldn’t believe that they brought all of this out as part of the starters! Omg, there was SO much, and they were all really different and delicious! I don’t remember them all, but I remember liking the beets a lot.

Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. Brunch buffet $29.99
Farmers Fishers Bakers, Washington DC
These were a pretty good start to brunch. Some of the pieces were a bit over-fried and dry, but I can’t deny a fried shrimp! 🙂

Marinated and fried, smoked potato, harissa aioli, olive tapenade. $11
Corridor, San Francisco CA
The liked the flavors and ingredients in this dish, but the calamari were too greasy! It became gross to eat after a while especially with the aioli. Too much fat for one plate!
