Fried dumplings.
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Toronto CANADA
This wasn’t my favorite gyoza. The coverings were thick and super greasy. Some of the gyoza were dry in parts and they weren’t fried evenly. Very disappointing.

Double scoop $5.45
COWS, Niagara on the Lake CANADA
I loved all the cow-themed ice cream flavors at this creamery. They were just really fun and creative. The ice cream also had a nice firm and creamy texture. Mmm…

Salsa roja, rancho gordo beans, creme fraiche, sunny side up eggs, goat feta. $22
The Restaurant at JUSTIN, Paso Robles CA
I thought that the pork was great and tasty, but there really weren’t enough tortilla chips to make this a substantial chilaquiles. It was pretty to look out though and the eggs definitely made for good yolk porn. ๐

Bar seating $180
Pineapple & Pearls, Washington DC
Mmm, this soup was fancy and comforting. I loved the pea flavor with the smoky ham. And the pea shoots were nice and fresh.

Blood orange, crystallized cocoa, sugared almonds. Mesibah menu $53 per person
Zahav, Philadelphia PA
I really enjoyed this dessert. Under the hardened chocolate shell was a silky, coffee flavored custard that just melted in your mouth. Such a wonderful way to end a glorious meal at Zahav. Thank you, Zahav! Until next time.

Served with butter. $4.99
The Old Clam House, San Francisco CA
I don’t think I’ve every had garlic bread served in a skillet before, but I liked it! I liked the nice crusted created on the bottom of the bread. And omg, this bread tasted SO good when buttered and used to scoop up the delicious cioppino sauce. Noms!

Honeymoon Peach Radler, Niagara Premium Lager, Amber Eh!, and Beerdevil IPA. $8.10
Niagara Brewing Company, Niagara Falls CANADA
This was a really tasty flight! I liked the variety that gave, and all the beers tasted distinctively different. I’d say the Honeymoon Peach Radler was my favorite, but that comes as no surprise since I often like fruit or citrus flavors in my beer.

With peanuts.
Tim Hortons, Niagara Falls CANADA
Mmm, this was really tasty, but I’m gonna say that there was too much chocolate. I know that sounds crazy, but I just haven’t had a sweet tooth lately. The dough was light and fluffy though so I’d say this was still a #win!

Roasted corn, romesco, shishito peppers. $15
La Cosecha Bar and Restaurant, Paso Robles CA
Mmm, I loved the flavor of these shrimp – so good. But they were kinda on the small side so it was a lot of work for little reward, they were getting pretty dried out. I liked the romesco sauce with the shrimp though, and shishito peppers are always a good choice.

Red wine, water. Complimentary
Air France KLM Lounge, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
This was a simple, small sandwich but I liked it because there wasn’t a lot of bread. I really just needed a small bite before boarding the plane. And of course a couple glasses of wine, lol!

Duck prosciutto, beef bresaola, mortadella, speck, norcino salami with sangiovese wine, orange scented mustard, roasted shallot-dried blueberry jam. Small $15
Barboursville Vineyards, Barboursville VA
I actually liked this charcuterie board and appreciated that they were home made. However, I’m going to repeat myself – the service here is despicable. It was a while since I visited and am finally getting around to posting, but that just goes to show that I still remember vividly how rude and bitchy the server was. She certainly knew how to ruin my time at Barboursville Vineyards, and I will forever remember.

Basil oil, croutons, parmesan. Soup du jour $9
The Restaurant at JUSTIN, Paso Robles CA
This soup was very good, and I liked the bit of spice in there. I also like the simple, yet elegant presentation. I just wish the server had sloshed it around on its way to the table.
