Cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers. $2
Barzotto, San Francisco CA
I love pickled vegetables and these were really good. They were too pickled so they still had a nice crunch to them. Yum!

Shipley Do-Nuts, Oxford MS
Mmm, this donut was pretty tasty! The chocolate glaze was on the thick side, but I didn’t mind. I loved the light, fluffy dough. Noms!

Goat stew with fingerling potatoes, beet salad with walnuts, fried piri-piri potatoes with saffron aioli, bacalhau (salt cod cakes), Achadinha Broncha cheese with honey, smoked duck breast with moscatel glaze, Pacific albacore tuna ceviche. $32
Tasca Tasca, Sonoma CA
This was a great Portuguese restaurant in Sonoma especially since there aren’t a lot of Portuguese restaurants out there! I loved all the different options they had on their menu and I thought that everything we ordered was really tasty. Noms!

Blackened imported catfish served over shrimp and crawfish rice and creole sauce, biscuit. $16.79
BB King’s Blues Club, Memphis TN
This dish was really flavorful and I liked that the creole sauce had a bit of a kick to it. The catfish, unfortunately, was on the dry side so that was disappointing. We were also seated at a horrible table even though the club wasn’t very full when we arrive and throughout our stay. #fail

Waffle cone. $3
Velvet Cream, Hernando MS
This was kinda gross – it was so sugary sweet. Maybe it was the flavor that I chose, but I could barely eat a few bites of this before I got sick. I will say that you do get a HUGE scoop for only three bucks!

Chocolate cup filled with dessert wine.
Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, Sonoma CA
This was a fun way to end the wine tasting at Jacuzzi. These dessert wine shots were pretty tasty! And I loved that the staff were down to earth and super friendly!

Banana chocolate lollipop and candied gooseberry. Bar seating $180
Pineapple & Pearls, Washington DC
This was a fun ending to a fabulous meal! I loved all the different fruit, flavors, and textures in this dessert fruit plate. Thanks Pineapple and Pearls!

Candied rhubarb and pineapple.

Cajun remoulade. $8.99
Lynchburg Legends Bar & Grill, Memphis TN
These were ok, but I wasn’t pleased by the still doughy texture of the inside of the beignets. The flavor was decent though and I liked the cajun remoulade.

Vadouvan and lemon zest. Happy hour $5
The Cavalier, San Francisco CA
I’ve had this dish a few times at Marlowe, and I’ve always liked the flavors but this batch at The Cavalier was super greasy. I could only eat a few before the brussels sprouts cooled down and became even more greasy. At that point, they were inedible which was a shame. #fail

Shipley Do-Nuts, Oxford MS
I liked this doughnut. It was simple, but the dough was really light and fluffy. I also liked that the strawberry filling wasn’t overly sweet especially since the doughnut was already sugar-glazed.

Ice cream, tapioca, blackberry, pineapple. 5 course tasting menu $85
Le Pigeon, Portland OR
This matcha cake was really good. I liked that this dessert wasn’t too sweet, but there were plenty of different textures and flavors to make it interesting. Yum!

With fried rice. 2-item lunch combo $7.30
New Ming’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
Hmm, I think I chose the wrong items because this wasn’t satisfying to me. Everything was super greasy and the flavors weren’t there. Lame.
