Backyard, Anaba Wines
Backyard, Anaba Wines. We hit this small tasting room on our drive home. It’s located at the intersection of Hwy 121 and Hwy 116 so it’s very convenient to stop by when leaving town. The people behind the bar are friendly and the back area is small but cute.

Fried calamari – Barracuda Sushi

Fried calamari - Barracuda Sushi
Montery baby squid tempura with sriracha aioli. Happy hour $5

These were good – perhaps a little greasy, but they had a nice flavor from the batter. And I like the taste and slight heat of the sriracha aioli.

Chicken vindaloo – Curry Boyzz

Chicken vindaloo - Curry Boyzz
Chicken cooked with potatoes in special spicy sauce. $6.99

Mmm, saucy Indian food! I also like that they use large chicken breast chunks. Even though I love thighs, these breast pieces remain very tender in this dish.

Chinatown, Grant Avenue

Chinatown, Grant Avenue. The hustle and bustle of Chinatown is only steps away from San Francisco’s shopping and financial districts – a very cool juxtaposition.

Buena Vista Winery
Buena Vista Winery. This is the oldest premium winery in California. It’s kinda randomly located and the grounds are tiny. My friends love this place, but I wasn’t too impressed by their wines. I think they underwent a recent remodel so their building is really cute inside!

Spicy edamame – Barracuda Sushi

Spicy edamame - Barracuda Sushi
Soy beans sauteed with shoyu, sesame oil and togarashi. Happy hour $4

These weren’t very spicy, but they were definitely flavorful! The togarashi (dried chili pepper seasoning) added a yummy flavor and texture on the outside of the edamame.

Jungle themed mural artwork, 24th and York Street Mini Park. I wouldn’t want to be the person who painted the the top of the mural on the right. That’s three stories up!

Onion naan – Curry Boyzz

Onion naan - Curry Boyzz
Indian bread stuffed with chopped onions and parsley. $1.99
Curry Boyzz, San Francisco CA

I don’t really know why I keep coming back to this place. Probably because it’s one of the few Indian restaurants in The Castro. The food is decent and they’re pretty quick so I can’t complain.

Illegible graffiti, Osage Street
Illegible graffiti, Osage Street. This bright and colorful artwork in The Mission is on my way to Bart so I see it every day but I’ve never been able to read it, lol!
