The food here is very good, but I think it’s over-priced for the portions! I don’t know why Seattleites are willing to pay these prices for something that could easily cost a dollar or two less. That goes for the entire menu. $6 La Carta de Oaxaca, Seattle WA
Blue statice flowers (Limonium sp., Plumbaginaceae), Port Orchard.
Chicken, refried beans, pepper jack/cheddar shred and scallions on tri-colored tortilla chips with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. $9.95 Bongo Johnny’s, Palm Springs CA
This was a huge plate of nachos, but they weren’t anything special. I guess the multi-colored chips were supposed to elevate it but that didn’t really happen. It was pretty standard nachos, and dare I say a little on the bland side.
A giant plate of homemade tortilla chips covered in a pepper jack cheese sauce, spicy taco-seasoned natural black angus ground beef, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, sour cream, and green onions. $15 Giovanni Pastrami, Honolulu HI
This was definitely a largo plate of nachos, but it wasn’t very good. The seasoned ground beef wasn’t spicy at all at the pepper jack cheese sauce was super bland. Lame!
