Artichokes, sundried tomatoes, olive and fresh herbs in pepperoncini sauce. $13
Lark, San Francisco CA
I liked the Mediterranean flavors in this dish. It was fresh and bright tasting and the calamari had a great texture (not rubbery).

Shoyu tare, corn, chasu, soy-cured egg. $13
The Ramen Bar, San Francisco CA
This ramen was delicious! I loved the cured egg and the pork was so tasty. The noodles were also perfect and the broth (this time around) wasn’t overly salty.

Smoked duck prosciutto, salami, pork terrine. $15
Hamlet, San Francisco CA
This charcuterie plate was lovely. I liked that they included duck which isn’t standard for charcuterie boards. I also liked the thinness of the slices. The condiments and hazelnuts were also great accompaniments. Mmm…

Half dozen $19
Murray Circle, Sausalito CA
These oysters tasted great and I liked that they provided three different topping options. A great way to begin a lazy weekend brunch.

Chicken meat balls cooked in curry sauce. $8
Naan N Curry, San Francisco CA
I liked the flavors in the curry sauce, but damn it was greasy! The chicken meat balls were nice and tender though.

$11.25
Eric’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
I like how the food at Eric’s is pretty consistent. You’re always gonna get what you tasted last time and not some surprised dish with different ingredients and flavors. This is probably why I keep returning for their delicious dishes.

One 4 ounce patty, ground daily all natural Niman Ranch beef. “Everything on it” with lettuce, tomato, red onions, Super sauce, and cheese. $5.50
Super Duper Burgers, San Francisco CA
I don’t know why I didn’t get cheese on this burger. Perhaps I was feeling healthy that day (yeah, right!). Anyway, the patty on this burger seemed a little over done this time around. #lame

Mango, plantain chips, and salsa verde. Prix fixe dinner $29.50
Hearth Coffee Roasters, San Francisco CA
So this is the third time we’ve had dinner here and we’re beginning to think that Hearth is not going to be our mid-week dinner go-to. While the food has been good, the service has been disinterested and cold. We’ve enjoyed the concept and the great price, but there isn’t much that makes us want to keep coming back every week. We’ll keep giving them another try, but it’s not looking good.

Egg whites, roasted tomato, arugula, mushroom. Served with butter croissant and rainbow potato. $16
Kitchen Story, San Francisco CA
With all the heavy items they have on their menu, it’s nice that they have an option of this egg white omelet filled with veggies. It’s quite large though so I don’t think you’re saving on calories either way. 🙂

Served with macaroni salad and brown rice. $7.04
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, San Francisco CA
Wow, haven’t had L&L in a while but I was kinda craving their macaroni salad. Their meats tend to run on the salty side, but I guess that’s what the rice and pasta are for – to help absorb all the salt and grease.

Selection of prepared meats, jam, nuts and fruit. $18
Lark, San Francisco CA
This was a decent charcuterie board. The salumi weren’t anything different or special, but they tasted good enough and they at least provided four different kinds. They should have served more toasted baguette slices though.

Caterpillar roll: shrimp tempura, sliced avocado on top. Crunch California roll: tempura crunch, crab salad, avocado, cucumber. Served with side salad an miso soup. Wednesday Daily Special $10.99
Tokyo Express, San Francisco CA
Again, not the best sushi, but it does the trick for a quick and relatively cheap (for SF FiDi) lunch.
