3 falafel balls, hummus, cucumber raiti, cous cous, mixed green salad with feta and sherry vinaigrette, and warm whole wheat pita bread. $9.95
Cafe Flore, San Francisco
I love platters because you get to try many things – perhaps it’s the non-committal part of me. This was ok, flavorful, but the falafel was a little dry and I wasn’t a fan of the whole wheat pita. They were too dense for my taste. The hummus, raita, and cous cous were my favorite parts.

Chunks of chicken, English peas, carrots, house made mashed potatoes, chopped parsley. $8.95
Cafe Flore, San Francisco
This was ok. The filling was on the salty side and the mashed potatoes were a little bland. I guess we ordered this to soak up some of the alcohol we had consumed during Sunday Funday, lol!

SF Giants Tiger graffiti mural, 15th Street. I love the composition and colors in this artwork. It’s sinister and cute at the same time.
Poached eggs with oven roasted tomatoes and mushroom ragout over homemade cornbread, topped with hollandaise and chopped chives, and served with a side of garlic fried potatoes. $10.50
Cafe Flore, San Francisco
Not a fan of this version of eggs benedict. I think it looked better on paper. The roasted tomatoes and mushroom ragout tasted odd and the cornbread made an odd combination. Everything together tasted a little too sweet which isn’t what you’re looking for when you order an eggs benedict. Even the potatoes were just ok. Too bad. The eggs were beautifully poached though.

Shell pasta baked in a creamy parmesan and white cheddar cheese sauce with cornbread crumble and chopped parsley topping. $6.50
Cafe Flore, San Francisco
Wow, this was good! Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I tend to like yellow mac and cheese the best. This version, however, made me forget about the color (hehe). It was nice and rich, and the crunchy topping added a great texture and even more flavor. The medium sized shells held a lot of the yummy cheese sauce and were fun to play with! 🙂
Hearts of romaine, avocado, parmesan, diced tomatoes and red onions, herb croutons, house-made Caesar dressing. $8.95
Cafe Flore, San Francisco
This was a fresh and delicious salad! You can see that they put a large avocado half on top – that’s a lot of avocado, noms! The salad was dressed perfectly with Caesar dressing (not too heavily), and the diced tomatoes and red onion helped to brighten the flavors. I would definitely order this again!
Yummy glass of champagne and orange juice. Brunch is always better with mimosas!

Latte. And a dose of caffeine isn’t bad either. 🙂
