Pepperoni slice – Arinell Pizza

Pepperoni slice - Arinell Pizza
Thin crust, New York style, neapolitan slice with pepperoni. $3.25
Arinell Pizza, San Francisco CA

I always find myself unable to resist getting a slice at Arinell once I’ve exited 16th Street Bart station starving after work. I’ll inevitably slink inside and grab a slice on my way to the gym.

This has been one of their more simple daily pizzas, but it was still delicious! They always use good quality ingredients which makes the difference.

With red onions and cheddar cheese. $2.50 per slice
Arizmendi Bakery, San Francisco CA

I love Arizmendi’s daily pizzas! This was a new combination for me and I really enjoyed it. The chard and chipotle flavors were lovely and I always enjoy the sourdough crust. The extra sliver that they throw in is always much appreciated!

Amatriciana pizza – Ragazza

Amatriciana pizza - Ragazza
With tomato, Boccalone pancetta, chilies, pecorino, oregano, and a farm egg. $16
Ragazza, San Francisco CA

Omg, delicious! The buttery thin crust is SO flavorful and the thicker edges are airy and have a wonderful elasticity. The toppings are stellar – a perfect combination of salty, crunchy, smooth and rich. Definitely break the egg and spread the runny yolk on every slice. The sauce is spectacular and the thin strips of pancetta are SO frickin’ good! It’s no wonder this pizza is on the 7×7 list. Although the hostess had a bit of an attitude, I didn’t let it affect my food experience. Noms!

Ah, the good ‘ole 2 AM slice of pizza! I always seem to add more parmesan cheese and dried pepper flakes on top. The better to soak up those pesky Cape Cods, lol!

Pizza margherita – Pizzeria Delfina

Pizza margherita - Pizzeria Delfina
Tomato, fior di latte mozzarella cheese, basil. $13
Pizzeria Delfina, San Francisco CA

I love, love, love the pizzas at Pizzeria Delfina! Their crust is so light, airy and flavorful and their sauce tastes amazing. They must use great quality ingredients because no matter how simple the pizza may be, it’s always spectacular. The service is always friendly (not so much when they first opened) and I love sitting at an outside table and people watching.

Margherita pizza – Ristorante Romano

Margherita pizza - Ristorante Romano
Tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese on an organic flour crust. 12 inch pizza €8.50
Ristorante Romano, Dublin IRELAND

This pizza wasn’t very good – I guess I couldn’t expect much from an Asian/Italian restaurant in Dublin. The crust was thin, dense and it these weird stratified layers of dough. Very odd. It wasn’t very crisp either considering its thickness.

Blue cheese and pear pizza – Starbelly

Blue cheese and pear pizza - Starbelly
Point Reyes blue cheese, market pears, roasted onion, and arugula. $13
Starbelly, San Francisco CA

I usually love the pizzas at Starbelly, but I think this one was just ok. It was tasty, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve liked some of the other flavors better. I should have added their house-made bacon or something. That would have made it amazing!
