Phat Philly, San Francisco CA
I love the waffle fries at Phat Philly! They are always piping hot and perfectly fried. I love the seasoning too. SO good!

Served with ranch dressing, celery, carrots. 10 wings $9.50
Red Hot & Blue, Herndon VA
Apparently this place has closed since my visit. I’m not surprised. The food was marginal. I’m not even sure why they called these chicken wings “jumbo” since they were fairly small. They were also over-cooked and dry. The bartender was friendly though.

$2
Kumo Sushi, Herndon VA
This miso soup was pretty good. It was nice and hot and had plenty of miso in it. The service was a little weird though. It felt a little awkward in there.

With steamed broccoli and brown rice. $10.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I will say that even though the Korean food at Sorabol is no where near the best, they are definitely consistent which is a huge plus in my book. You’re always certain what you’re gonna get and there aren’t any surprises. And you get a lot of food for a decent price – a rarity when it comes to downtown lunches in San Francisco.

Served with beans & rice, green beans. $5.99
King Pollo, Sterling VA
This chicken was good. I liked the flavors, but it was a little on the dry side. The sides were also decent. You certainly got a lot of food for the price, though!

Edam cheese, pesto. Complimentary
Rome (FCO) to Chicago (ORD), United Airlines
This sandwich looked sad, and it tasted sad as well. There was nothing appealing about it at all, but I really don’t expect much from United.

Pomodoro, mozzarella di bufala DOP, olio Evo, grana padano, basilico. €10
Farinella, Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO)
This pizza was great for airport food! Leave it to European airports to beat out the Americans ones once again. And it was nicely priced too for the quality. I would order this again in a heartbeat!

Celery-Fiji apple slaw, mayo, pickle, bun. $8
The Bird, San Francisco CA
Oh lord, why does this sandwich have to be SO good?! I think I’ve had this fried chicken sandwich way too many times to be good for my figure, hehe. I will say that you need their homemade sriracha to with every bite to make it perfect.

Batterave and sorel. “Tradition” tasting menu €65
Tordomatto, Rome ITALY
I loved how they made the vegetable (beet?) look like a hollow bone with marrow. The veal was tender and delicious. I only wish that it had a little sear on it for more texture.

Penne pasta with tomato, oil, garlic, chili pepper. €10
La Biga, Rome ITALY
This tasted fine, but I still couldn’t get over the yellow light! It just made all the food look SO unappetizing! Our server was really nice and friendly though and the experience was great overall (minus the light, lol).

Beef cheesesteak with fried onions, Cheese Whiz, and peppers. 7 inch $8.75
Phat Philly, San Francisco CA
These gut bombs at Phat Philly are my guilty pleasures. They taste great and I love that you can add peppers from their pepper bar. The Cheese Whiz definitely adds another level of amazing (and guilt), lol!

Veal shank served with sweet and sour silver-skin onions. €20
Trattoria Sora Lella, Rome ITALY
Oh lordy, this was delicious! The veal was so tender and I liked that it wasn’t in a regular tomato or red wine sauce. This sauce was so flavorful and really complemented the veal. NOMS!
