The Codmother Fish and Chips, San Francisco CA
I loved the flavor the fried fish. They tasted great, but they were pretty greasy, ew! The fries were really yummy though and surprisingly they weren’t greasy at all.

Fried chicken montadito, romesco, pimenton honey. Restaurant week dinner $65
Aatxe, San Francisco CA
Sorry for the REALLY dark pics, guys! These dishes were really good though. I just which you guys could see them! 🙂

Spanish fried rice, chorizo, cuttlefish, bonito, cured yolk.

Cinnamon-vanilla arroz con leche, dark chocolate, caramel, toasted meringue.

Sope assortment with beans, chicken, shredded pork and sauteed vegetables with crumbled queso fresco, onion and sour cream. $12
Colibri Mexican Bistro, San Francisco CA
These sopes were clunky and looked unappetizing, but they were actually pretty good! They each tasted very different so it was a nice plate of flavors to begin the meal.

Margarita de la casa. House margarita with Montealban Blanco tequila and house lime juice mix. $11

English muffin with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, lettuce, ranch. $9.99
Boudin Bakery and Cafe, San Francisco CA
You can’t tell from this pic, but this sandwich was pretty large. It was hot, messy and delicious. Certainly a great way to start the day with a filling meal.

Cabbage, quince, sunchoke, hibiscus. Four course menu $59
Aster, San Francisco CA
This tasted fine, but it was another lifeless dish for the night. Where’s the soul in this place? Ugh.

Banh mi with ham, cold cuts, pate, carrot, daikon, cucumber, jalapeno, and cilantro. $4.25
Vietnamese Cart, San Francisco CA
This sandwich was cheap, delicious, and pretty legit! The flavors were right on for a banh mi and the lady who own the cart is really sweet. With these sandwich, the bread is really important and the French roll that she uses is great. It has a nice crispiness on the outside with a soft, airy center. Noms!

Fresh burrata cheese served with crostini with ‘Nduja sausage, calabrese olives, salami. $16
Poesia, San Francisco CA
I liked this and thought that it had wonderful flavors, but I was kind of annoyed that the burrata wasn’t center stage. I thought from the menu item that it was going to be a burrata dish, but it was really a big crostini with several ingredients. I liked it, but it wasn’t what I expected.

Baguette with oil and vinegar.

Vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream, crushed pineapple, sliced strawberries, handmade hot fudge, fresh bananas, whipped cream, chopped almonds, and a cherry. $11.45
Ghirardelli, San Francisco CA
I am embarrassed to admit that I ate this all by myself as my lunch, lol! In my defense, it was in celebration of someone’s birthday. It was pretty good. Nothing special, but the ice cream parlor has a nice vibe and the workers are really friendly.

Lightly grilled swordfish, acorn squash mole, ginger-habanero broth, fried leeks. NYE tasting menu $175
Californios, San Francisco CA

Handmade pappardelle with smoked salmon, prawns, and zucchini in a light cream sauce. $18.50
Fiore Caffe, San Francisco CA
I loved the pasta in this dish. It had a wonderful texture and was perfectly cooked. I liked the simple ingredients with the light cream sauce (although it was a tad bit on the salty side).

$3.50
Espressamente Illy, San Francisco CA
This was really rich and delicious. I loved that it was large and sticky, and the bun was substantial enough to hold up to the generous helping of nutella.

Coffee. $2.75

Restaurant week dinner $65
Aatxe, San Francisco CA
Ugh, sorry that this pic is SO dark! Anyway, these croquetas were really good. They were a little salty, but I liked the texture and they were fried perfectly.
