Mmm, I love papayas bravas! These were really good and I loved the smokey paprika and delicious tomato sauce. Noms!

Ugh, sorry that this pic is SO dark! Anyway, these croquetas were really good. They were a little salty, but I liked the texture and they were fried perfectly.

This tortilla was fine, but it was the truffle butter hollandaise and chorizo bits on top that put it over the top. Mmm!

This wasn’t my favorite. I don’t the the mushrooms and delicata squash went well together. They had opposing flavors and textures that just didn’t vibe. Hmm…

This was really bright and fresh tasting. I was surprised at the large-ish size of the hamachi cuts, but they were still able to absorb the lovely juices.

Pintxos are always fun to eat because they’re small which allows you to try several kinds. These pintxos were yummy, and I love the variety that they serve at Aatxe.

This was a nice start to dinner. Both escabeches were tart and palette-cleansing. I liked their flavors and the texture of the marinated shellfish was great.
