Hand-cut poutine – Amsterdam BrewHouse

Hand-cut poutine - Amsterdam BrewHouse
Ontario cheese curds, beef gravy. $8
Amsterdam BrewHouse, Toronto CANADA

This poutine tasted fine I guess. The fries were nice and crisp, but everything was really cold! Everything I ate at this restaurant was really cold actually. I may not be Canadian, but I’ve poutine before and it’s not supposed to be cold. I don’t know about you, but I don’t cold gravy over cold cheese curds is very appetizing.

Kara miso cha-shu ramen – Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

Kara miso cha-shu ramen - Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
Spicy miso ramen with double portion of pork cha-shu. $15.80
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Toronto CANADA

This was tasty! I loved the spice level of the broth, and the ingredients were great. The ramen noodles also had a nice bite to them. I just wished the chasiu was cut a little thinner so it would’ve been easier to eat. These were pretty thick and harder to eat.

Canadian Eh! slice – Pizza Pizza

Canadian Eh! slice - Pizza Pizza
Topped with classic pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, bacon crumble and mozzarella cheese.
Pizza Pizza, Toronto CANADA

I liked the flavor of this pizza, but it was almost room temperature! They should have at least reheated it! I may have been out prior to visiting this place late at night, but I can still judge the temperature of a pizza slice! The crust was also very chewy and difficult to eat.

Pizza of the day – Villa San-Juliette

Pizza of the day - Villa San-Juliette
Salami, artichoke, tomato, caramelized onion. $15
Villa San-Juliette, San Miguel CA

I liked this winery and I’m glad that they had food offerings as well. It was nice to sit in their patio to eat and drink after our wine tasting. This pizza was good. I liked the combination of toppings, but I wasn’t a big fan of the dough and crust. It was kinda dry and hard.

Charcuterie board – Niagara Brewing Company

Charcuterie board - Niagara Brewing Company
Cured meats, toasted crostini, raw and pickled vegetables, sage white bean spread. $12.30
Niagara Brewing Company, Niagara Falls CANADA

This charcuterie board was such a great value! This would have cost more in the States. I liked all the meats, and the veggies were delicious too. This was a great board to eat with all the yummy beer!

Original cheesecake – Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Angel Cafe

Original cheesecake - Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Angel Cafe
Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Angel Cafe, Toronto CANADA

This was the first time I’d had Japanese cheesecake, and it really tasty and fun! I loved the super light and jiggly texture. It was so fluffy and airy that I could have probably eaten the whole thing! I would definitely eat this again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pan seared scallops – La Cosecha Bar and Restaurant

Pan seared scallops - La Cosecha Bar and Restaurant
Sweet mashed potato, seasonal mushrooms, white truffle olive oil. $15
La Cosecha Bar and Restaurant, Paso Robles CA

This dish was really tasty! I love all these ingredients individually so of course I loved them all together. I will say that the scallops were a bit on the done side though.
