The Spot, San Francisco CA
I wasn’t too impressed by this chicken. It was good, but nothing special. Even the sauce was just mediocre. The chicken was tender and juicy though, I will give it that.

Selection of 3 cheese, quince preserves, nuts, cranberry bread. Happy hour $9
Pork pate, pickled vegetables, grain mustard, country bread. Happy hour $9
DB Brasserie, Las Vegas NV
This place has a great happy hour! I love their food selection and everything is very tasty. The service is also friendly and accommodating. These boards were great and the portions were perfect. Call me crazy, but I hate it when they give you a gigantic pieces of cheese to over-feed you. I would rather get less cheese and not have to waste any. Anyway, both the cheeses and pate were delicious.

JL Colombo rose, Cape Bleue, Mediteranee. Happy hour $5

Tuna tartare, cucumber, crispy wonton, avocado, ponzu. $8
Julian Serrano, Las Vegas NV
These tuna tartare cones were on the small side, but they were fun to eat and yummy. I wish the tuna was less chopped though since the texture was on the mushy/mealy side.

Braised short rib, jalapeno, cheese sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream. $16
The Henry, Las Vegas NV
Wow, this was SO rich, but oh so delicious! The braised short rib certainly put these totchos over the top. Noms!

Tieton Cider Works apple cider.

Sticky rice, edamame, lime ginger sauce. $14
Redd, Yountville CA
This was great. The hamachi was really fresh and clean tasting, and I really enjoyed all the flavors and textures underneath. The lime ginger sauce was delicate but complimented the hamachi nicely.

$6.50
Pin Up Pizza, Las Vegas NV
I know you can’t really tell from this pic, but this pizza slice was very large! It’s exactly what I needed after a rough night, lol!

The Whole Beast, San Francisco CA
This slider was pretty tasty. The meat was nice and flavorful and the toppings were great. I especially liked the super soft roll that they used.

Angry Orchard hard cider. $7
Skeeter chocolate chip cookies. Complimentary
San Francisco (SFO) to Las Vegas (LAS), JetBlue
I haven’t flown JetBlue in a really long time, but it was a nice change of pace from United since they still provide a small snack for short flights. Their beverage selection is also a bit more varied.

Thinly sliced rib eye, Ike’s yellow bbq sauce, light habanero salsa, pepper jack and American cheese, onions, banana peppers, and pickles on French bread. $12.21
Ike’s Place, San Francisco CA
Mmm, Mad Bum taste great, lol! I liked the “slight” spice but wish it had a little more kick. The sandwich was messy and delicious.

Fresh tomatoes, sprinkled with parmesan and red pepper flakes. $4.55
Escape From New York Pizza, San Francisco CA
The was pretty good. Although the meatballs were a bit dry, the pizza slice still had good flavor and the fresh tomatoes were a nice topping for some added moisture. I always like the thin crusts at Escape From New York.
Asian pear, avocado, chili oil, fried rice. $14
Redd, Yountville CA
I love Redd, but there was something a bit unsatisfying about this dish. Maybe it was the mound of puffed rice burying the tuna tartare, but it almost felt like work to eat this plate. And that makes me sad…

Blue cheese sauce, pancetta, shishito pepper, potato, parmesan. Happy hour $9
Carpe Diem Wine Bar, Napa CA
Mmm, this flatbread was delicious! I’m not totally sold on the addition of the shishito peppers though – they didn’t quite fit to me. The blue cheese sauce was yummy though and the other toppings worked well together.

Inkberry cabernet sauvignon. Happy hour $6
