Deep fried calamari. €3.90
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN
Ugh, these fried squid rings were really limp and greasy. They were kinda gross! #fail

Clams, shrimp, squid ink pasta, cream sauce. Menu del dia, each €21.90 (with lobster supplemental)
Lizarran, Sitges SPAIN
I liked this because the sauce wasn’t too rich and heavy, and there was plenty of seafood. I wish the squid ink pasta wasn’t so slick though so that it could have taken on more of the sauce.

Onions and cilantro. $2.95
Tropisueno, San Francisco CA
I really like their beef barbacoa. It’s super tender and flavorful. And they don’t try to overfill these tacos with too much fancy toppings.

€6.80
La Taverna del Born, Barcelona SPAIN
This was a pretty simple salad, but it was refreshing and bright on a warm, sunny day. I like the fruity forward dressing and honey combo, and there was plenty of goat cheese!

€3.85 / €3.70
Paco Meralgo, Barcelona SPAIN
These montaditos were really tasty! I loved the fine texture of both, and the salmon had a nice smoky flavor. Mmm…

Gin, lime, sugar, basil. $12
Rye, San Francisco CA
This bar had a pretty cool and relaxed vibe. The bartender was also friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. Hence, this delicious basil gimlet!

Potato and vegetable tortillas, pan con tomate. Variat de tapes €15
El Berro, Barcelona SPAIN
These tortillas were actually pretty tasty. They had a nice texture and flavor. I could have done without the sad pan con tomate though.

Gelateria Italiana Olivier, Sitges SPAIN
Mmm, this gelato was nice and creamy, and the flavors were rich and bold. Noms! I couldn’t decide which flavors to get, so I opted for two of my favorites.

Over rice with furikake, pickles, green onions, and spicy mayo.
Liholiho Yacht Club, San Francisco CA
This was good, but not my favorite. I like “real” spam because it has a soft-ish texture that is really easy to eat. This house-made spam was pretty dense and really needed some heavy chewing to bite through. I loved the flavors though.

€4.50. With pan con tomate. €2.50
Parrots Pub, Sitges SPAIN
Hmm, I thought the ham was very dry and chewy. It seemed old to me, like it had been pre-sliced and sitting out for a while. Ew! The bread with tomato was fine though.

Menu del dia, each €21.90 (with lobster supplemental)
Lizarran, Sitges SPAIN
This was basic, but good. I liked the crispy bits of noodles from the bottom of the pan. I had hoped that there would be some onions or any vegetables, but alas, no.
