With candied fig. $4.50
Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, San Francisco CA
This cruffin was good, but not as good as the first time I had it. The exterior was a bit hard and dry this time around. The maple cream flavor was also pretty light.

$9.75
Buckeye Roadhouse, Mill Valley CA
I liked this enough and I thought it looked great, but I also would have preferred it if there was less of the toasted meringue. It overwhelmed everything and I wish there was more of a balance with the chocolate and graham cracker crust.

Garlic and paprika sausage. Chef’s tasting $45
Tinto, Palm Springs CA
I love Spanish chorizo. It’s so smoky and flavorful. These grilled skewers of chorizo were lovely. Mmm…

Seasoned beef, Italian sausage, red onions, jalapenos. Large $17
Pizza Hut, San Francisco CA
Ugh, I was watching football and was craving pizza so I ordered from Pizza Hut. And I was totally disappointed that I did. This was very good, and the crust was soft and mushy. You could just tell that the ingredients were of poor quality.

Sierra Nevada cream cheese, pistachio butter. $10
The Table, San Jose CA
This was good, but I was expecting more beets than arugula. I did like all the different textures in it though, and the beets were pretty tasty too.

Ground Angus beef served with lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheddar cheese and pickles. $12
Affinity Restaurant & Bar, San Jose CA
These sliders were gross! They were hard, dry and flavorless. They were probably some of the worst sliders I’ve ever had. Yuck!

All natural chicken breast, applewood smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo, toasted sliced sourdough. $8.99
Boudin Bakery and Cafe, San Francisco CA
I don’t usually order club sandwiches because they can be boring and bland. This was good. The chicken was fairly tender, but the sandwich was a bit dry overall. Maybe it could have used more mayo or something.

French fries, coleslaw. $22.75
Buckeye Roadhouse, Mill Valley CA
These ribs were great. I loved the crispy crust and the smoky, tender meat. The fries were also nice and crispy and not greasy at all.

Sauteed shrimp, lemon, garlic. Chef’s tasting $45
Tinto, Palm Springs CA
These shrimp were super juicy and tender and the sauce was wonderfully garlicky. Gambas are one of my favorite tapas and these were a tasty version.

Wtih greens. $9
Boccalone, San Francisco CA
Mmm, another great Boccalone sandwich. The salty lonza tasted great with the sweet fig spread and peppery arugula.

Summer corn vinaigrette, queso fresco. $11
The Table, San Jose CA
This salad was good. I loved the different textures from the cheese, seeds, and greens. The endive and radicchio were also nice and peppery.

Bread and olive oil with butter.

Garlic rubbed crostini topped with fresh diced tomato and basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze. $10
Affinity Restaurant & Bar, San Jose CA
This was good. The ingredients were fresh and clean tasting, but the balsamic glaze would have been better actually drizzled on top instead of underneath.
