Serrano ham, bechamel. $7
Julian Serrano, Las Vegas NV
Ugh, another over-priced tiny-assed tapa from Julian Serrano. This kind of crap gives tapas a bad name. And it was over-fried! Lame.

Spicy sausage stew. ₩22,000
Nolboo Kitchen, Seoul SOUTH KOREA
I don’t even know what all was in this stew, but it certainly was delicious! There was fatty beef, different kinds of sausages, dumplings, beans, different noodles, and vegetables. It wasn’t overly spicy – just enough to keep me want to go back for more! It was definitely an experience to try to order this from our waitress, lol. And then it was fun to see the dish cook and come together. Noms!

The pot after it had finished boiling and the server had put all the ingredients in.

Finally in my bowl. Eat up!

Bbobbo Chicken & Beer, Seoul SOUTH KOREA
This was different. The chicken was good, but the garlic paste that it was brushed with had an interesting texture. The chicken was also crudely chopped so most pieces were primarily bone. That really didn’t stop me though since I’m not afraid to get down and dirty and eat with my hands. Perhaps I should have order chicken wings though, lol!

Hite beer. ₩4,000

Popcorn. Complimentary

Pickled radish(?). Complimentary

8 oz Angus beef, morbier cheese, dijon mustard, pork belly tomato-onion compote, arugula, black pepper bun. Happy hour $15
DB Brasserie, Las Vegas NV
This burger was good, but maybe there was too much going on for me to fully enjoy it. The patty was good though – it was juicy and had a nice texture. But between the rich cheese and rich pork belly compote, this burger quickly became too rich pretty quickly. I still love this place though!

Fried breaded shrimp, padron pepper, allioli. $7
Julian Serrano, Las Vegas NV
Three lonely pieces of fried shrimp just doesn’t do it for me, especially since these were pretty dry. Everything here was really small, even for tapas so I wasn’t very happy.

Sprinkled with extra parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. $5
Oz Pizza, San Francisco CA
This place has become my go-to for fast, greasy goodness. Whether it’s after the bars or just waiting for Muni, Oz Pizza always provides a quick yummy slice.

Tangy caramel sauce, pineapple, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, mint, rice sticks and Asian slaw. Served with steamed rice. $9.99
Pei Wei Asian Diner, McCarran International Airport (LAS)
I didn’t like this very much. The fried chicken pieces had a weird exterior texture and the long vegetable cuts were weird with the chicken. This dish also made me sick before boarding the plane and I felt horrible on the entire flight home. 😦

Selection of 3 cheese, quince preserves, nuts, cranberry bread. Happy hour $9
Pork pate, pickled vegetables, grain mustard, country bread. Happy hour $9
DB Brasserie, Las Vegas NV
This place has a great happy hour! I love their food selection and everything is very tasty. The service is also friendly and accommodating. These boards were great and the portions were perfect. Call me crazy, but I hate it when they give you a gigantic pieces of cheese to over-feed you. I would rather get less cheese and not have to waste any. Anyway, both the cheeses and pate were delicious.

JL Colombo rose, Cape Bleue, Mediteranee. Happy hour $5

Tuna tartare, cucumber, crispy wonton, avocado, ponzu. $8
Julian Serrano, Las Vegas NV
These tuna tartare cones were on the small side, but they were fun to eat and yummy. I wish the tuna was less chopped though since the texture was on the mushy/mealy side.

Braised short rib, jalapeno, cheese sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream. $16
The Henry, Las Vegas NV
Wow, this was SO rich, but oh so delicious! The braised short rib certainly put these totchos over the top. Noms!

Tieton Cider Works apple cider.

Sticky rice, edamame, lime ginger sauce. $14
Redd, Yountville CA
This was great. The hamachi was really fresh and clean tasting, and I really enjoyed all the flavors and textures underneath. The lime ginger sauce was delicate but complimented the hamachi nicely.

$6.50
Pin Up Pizza, Las Vegas NV
I know you can’t really tell from this pic, but this pizza slice was very large! It’s exactly what I needed after a rough night, lol!
