Tropisueno, San Francisco CA
This was pretty basic, but it tasted all right. I liked the flakiness of the tortilla and the cheesy, gooey center.

Pete’s pastrami, sauerkraut, comté, Russian dressing. $12
20th Century Cafe, San Francisco CA
The pickled vegetables were Great! Omg, the toasted seeded rye bread was SO buttery! Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious but it was dripping down my hands and coating my lips with butter. The red cabbage was nice and tart and the pastrami was flavorful. This was definitely a yummy, caloric splurge for lunch.

Curry, micro greens. Family style menu, $60 per person
Al’s Place, San Francisco CA
This almonds were really tasty. I don’t think I’ve ever had curry-crusted almonds before but they were fun to eat and had great flavor. Not sure how the greens fit in though – kinda awkward to eat with the almonds.

This rotisserie chicken had great flavor and it was pretty juicy, even the breast piece. I thought that it was a bit overprices for chicken, but you’re paying for the higher quality.

Lazy Bear, San Francisco CA
This was a really elegant presentation, and it tasted wonderful as well. The smoked leek custard was very different and lovely and the caviar was just fun to eat with the seaweed flavored potato chips. Mmm…

Tacos Cala, San Francisco CA
Omg, these tacos were delicious! Each on was so distinct and flavorful. They were simple with very little additional fillings except rice and black beans. The salsa were also SO tasty. Noms!

With bermuda onion, lettuce tomato, swiss cheese, and herb mayo. Served with garlic fries. $10.95
Bongo Johnny’s, Palm Springs CA
This burger was decent. It was still tender, but not overly juicy. I liked that they toasted their buns and the French fries were very good.

Chili and basil, bell pepper, onion. $8.95
Chada Thai Cuisine, Palm Springs CA
This tasted fine, but it was REALLY oily! That especially sucks in an eggplant dish because they just soak up all the oil and are disgusting to eat. #lame

$3.99
Boudin Bakery and Cafe, San Francisco CA
This kouign amann had a different texture than others that I’m used to. It was as flaky and crisp. Perhaps it had more glaze that soaked into the flaky layers. I liked it though.

Zinfandel-shallot butter, haricots verts. $29
Zin American Bistro, Palm Springs CA
This hangar steak was good. It had great flavor and it was pretty tender. I like the red wine sauce and the green beans were nice and crisp.

With steamed broccoli and chap chae (Korean style glass noodles), kimchi. $9.95
Sorabol, San Francisco CA
I was craving this and was really hungry so I knew that Sorabol was a good lunch option. They give you plenty of meat and it’s always nice and filling. I can’t imagine how many calories are on this plate though. Hehe!
