Marukame Udon, Honolulu HI
These were kinda gross. I think they had been sitting out for a while because they were limp, soggy, and had a rubbery texture. #foodfail

Cruzan aged light rum, pineapple juice and tropical liqueurs with a dark rum float. Carafe $28
The Edge of Waikiki, Honolulu HI
These were tasty, pretty weak but tasty. I really liked our bartender/server though. He was really friendly and he made sure that we always had plenty of ice in our glasses. Yay for great service!

Original (white sugar) malasada, custard malasada puff, and macadamia malasada puff. $4.10
Leonard’s Bakery, Honolulu HI
This was my first experience with the malasada puffs, and I thought they were delicious! I guess you can’t go wrong when you fill their already delicious malasads with custard. SO good!

Guacamole, pineapple salsa, sour cream, chipotle queso sauce. $14
Tropics Bar & Grill, Honolulu HI
Mmm, this was sinfully yummy. It could have used more cheese sauce for the amount of tortilla chips. I liked the pineapple salsa and the tasty Kalua pork though!

Spicy ahi poke with avocado mousse and toasted rice crackers. $15
SKY Waikiki, Honolulu HI
This was delicious (and pretty), but there wasn’t much of it. I thought the flavors were great though and the thin, crispy rice crackers were fun.

Skinless chicken thigh, lemongrass, red chili. Served with jasmine rice. $11.50
Mau, San Francisco CA
This was very flavorful and a great value for dinner. There chicken was tender, but the rice was a bit dry.

Crispy house-cut fries with melted sharp cheddar cheese, secret sauce, sautéed onions. Half order $3
Big Chef Tom’s Belly Burgers, San Francisco CA
Omg, these fries were frickin’ AMAZING! I loved the cheese sauce and the sauteed onions. I should have ordered a full order of these addictive fries. Noms!

Ground angus beef and lamb, shallots, parsley, oregano and house tomato basil sauce. $11
Lark, San Francisco CA
These weren’t as good as last time. They were bland and really didn’t speak to me. I could have done without an order of these during this meal.

Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella. $10
Pizza Politana, San Francisco CA
This pizza was much better than the last time I tried Pizza Politana. The crust wasn’t oily this time and the edges weren’t as charred and burned. I thought this tasted great!

Pickled vegetables, mustard creme fraiche, toast. $18
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This was very tasty, even though there wasn’t much salmon to be had. I really liked the salad with pickled veggies too!

Chick peas in spiced tomato sauce. Char-grilled and marinated naturally-raised chicken in a spicy, creamy tomato sauce. Homestyle Indian platter with roti (handmade bread), slow-simmered daal (lentils), rice, veggie salad, chutneys and raita (yogurt). $11.95
Kasa Indian Eatery, San Francisco CA
Ugh, I don’t know why I also order the Thali plate. It’s SO much food! It is delicious though and satisfies my craving for flavorful Indian food. Mmm…

Charsu, spicy ground pork, boiled egg. $9.95
Ajisen Ramen, San Francisco CA
I liked this especially since I was craving ramen for lunch, but I think they tend to make their soups on the salty side. The quality of this pork was also pretty sad – it was SO dry and tough. Not my favorite.
