Farmers Fishers Bakers, Washington DC
I love guacamole prepared tableside. This was really tasty, but it could have used some tomato for more flavor.

Mmm, this sorbet was just what the doctor ordered. It was hot and sunny by the pool, and this was the perfect treat!

Crumbled bacon, pickle, yellow mustard. $6
Dapper Dog, San Francisco CA
Mmm, salty hot dog! This was messy, hearty, and delicious. Dapper Dog is quickly becoming one of my guilty pleasures.

Two flavors. Small $4.25
Gelateria Dolce Vita, Washington DC
This area was super touristy and cheesy, but it had a certain kind of charm. It was lively and fun, and what better way to join in than with a scoop of gelato to help with enjoying the weather!

Tri-color pasta, kimchi sausage, thai chili, cucumber, cilantro. $9
The Partisan, Washington DC
This pasta was great! I loved the interesting and delicious combination of flavors and textures. The kimchi sausage was surprisingly delightful in this dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Mmm…

Fried egg, rice, pickled vegetables. $9.50

This was a great and hearty lunch! I liked the pork – it was very flavorful but it could have used a bit more heat. When everything was tossed together, it tasted great!

Slaw, pico de gallo served with side salad. $14
SLS Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas NV
These tacos were ok. I couldn’t find any of the promised pico de gallo which it could have used since the fish was kinda dry. Hmm…

Mac and cheese topped with beef brisket and pulled pork. $13
Carnivore BBQ Truck, Washington DC
Mmm, this was heaven to me! A plate of mac and cheese topped with bbq meats and loads of bbq sauce – put a fork in me cause I’m done! NOMS!

Cucumber water, watermelon, tapioca, pink peppercorn, borage blossoms. $16
The Partisan, Washington DC
These scallops were really interesting. I don’t think they were my favorite ever, but the combination of flavor was so new to me and I was honestly confused on what to think. I think that’s a good thing because at least I was really thinking about the food, but I ultimately couldn’t get into this dish.

Abraxxxas Peared, Freigeist, lichtenhainer with pear, Germany. $8

Chickpeas and salad, hot sauce and dill sauce. $9
Tasty Kabob Truck, Washington DC
This was decent. The lamb was kinda dry and burnt on many of the edges, but I liked the overall flavor of everything.

2-flavor cup.
Rita’s Italian Ice, Washington DC
Hmm, this was nice and fun but also very sugary. I liked the idea, but it wasn’t my favorite because I just felt like I overdosed on sweetness. Maybe it was just the flavors I chose. Hmm…
