Jalapeno, Canadian bacon and pineapple. $4
Nizario’s Pizza, San Francisco CA
Mmm, I love hawaiian slices! And this one also had jalapenos so it was doubly delicious. Noms!

Two enchiladas, guacamole, green salad and salsa. $9.40
Zapata Mexican Grill, San Francisco CA
I’m so sad that Zapata is closing down, or maybe it already has (I haven’t been back in a while). I always thought this place was a bit better than La Tortilla around the corner. 😦

Watermelon, grapefruit. $12
Farmers Fishers Bakers, Washington DC
This tasted good since the overall flavors were nice, but the tuna was pretty gross. It felt frozen and had the weirdest texture. Hmm…

$14
Lobsta Truck, San Francisco CA
Wow, this roll was super TINY! I actually laughed out loud when I received it. This fourteen dollar snack definitely did not constitute a proper lunch, and the lobster was squishy and didn’t taste fresh. Lame!

Northern-style relish with housemade red curry paste, ground pork, tomato, palm sugar, fish sauce, served with pork rinds and vegetables. $10.50
Hawker Fare, San Francisco CA
This dish tasty great, but boy was it SALTY! Even the vegetables couldn’t temper the saltiness of the pork relish. I like the flavors though.

Pago Pago: dark Trinidad rum, pineaplle, creme de cacao, chartreuse and lime.

Complimentary
Super Duper Burgers, San Francisco CA
I’d never had Super Duper donuts before, and it was really good! It had an old-school kind of feel and flavor and that was oddly refreshing. And you can’t beat a free donut!

With tendon, carrot, onion, cilantro. $5.50
Little Paris, San Francisco CA
This soup was really tasty! I didn’t know that there were different sizes so I would have ordered the large bowl. The broth was rich and everything was warm and hearty, and the cilantro was a refreshing garnish.

Baguette.

Iced Vietnamese coffee.

Heirloom tomato, compressed watermelon, ricotta, basil. $8
Farmers Fishers Bakers, Washington DC
This salad was both beautiful and delicious. I loved the colorful heirloom tomatoes and all the ingredients worked wonderfully together. Mmm…

Chicken strips, French fries, calamari.
SLS Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas NV
So much food! I’m not sure all this fried food is the best choice when you’re trying to look sexy at the pool, but it certainly tastes good. And the service was very friendly and accommodating.

Slider, sweet potato fries, calamari.

Tossed with prik khing sauce, pork bacon. $9.50
Hawker Fare, San Francisco CA
This tasted great! I loved the texture of the green beans and they were super flavorful. The service on the other hand left much to be desired. They were friendly enough but weren’t good at anticipating a diner’s needs. Boo!

Bush Ranger: aged Guyanese rums with red Spanish vermouth and bitters.

One 4 ounce patty, ground daily all natural Niman Ranch beef. “Everything on it” with lettuce, tomato, red onions, Super sauce, and cheese. $7.50
Super Duper Burgers, San Francisco CA
Omg, this burger was amazing! I think the fried egg totally put it over the top. It was messy, oozy, gooey, and perfect. Definitely a guilty treat for lunch!

Caramelized fennel, tomatillo puree, cilantro. $14
The Partisan, Washington DC
I loved the flavor in this, but the belly was just SO fatty! It was probably 70% fat or more so it was just too fatty to eat very much.
