Pimento cheese, okra, pickled onions, and bacon. $12
Eureka Restaurant & Lounge, San Francisco CA
This seems a paltry portion for twelve bucks. I liked the flavors but would have appreciated a few more tortillas worth.

Chicken thighs, garlic fried rice, tomatoes, flour tortilla. $8.75
Papalote Mexican Grill, San Francisco CA
This is one of the best Mexican-Filipino fusion food items I’ve tried thus far. I loved that they used chicken thighs instead of breast to keep it more authentic. It’s packed with flavor and the burrito and pretty big. Mmm…

Broccoli, mayo, gochujang chili sauce, cilantro, melted cheese. $10
Seoul on Wheels, San Francisco CA
I liked the spicy pork, but I think there was just too many toppings on this. The unmelted cheese was particularly weird and off-putting when combined with the mayo. Not my favorite.

House ground Brandt family beef, wagon wheel cheddar, housemade bun, little gem lettuce, heirloom tomato, pickles, special sauce. $14.50
Prospect, San Francisco CA
This burger was great. The beef patty was juicy and tender and all the were great. I especially enjoyed the old-school pickles. They were a nice throwback.

Sauce romesco. Family style menu, $60 per person
Al’s Place, San Francisco CA
This was yummy. I liked the texture and flavor of the chickpeas and the romesco sauce was just lovely! Mmm…

Per half pound $15
Smokestack, San Francisco CA
I liked the flavor of this brisket, but it was SO dry! Ugh, I was disappointed because brisket is my favorite but besides the random pieces of fat, this was like eating jerky.

Tonkotsu based soup, pork belly, egg, green onion, bamboo shoot, sesame, dried seaweed, fried garlic, mizuna.
Orenchi Beyond, San Francisco CA
Omg, this bowl of ramen may have been on the small side, but it certainly was delicious! Maybe it was due to the fattier-than-normal tonkotsu broth or the fattier-than-normal cut of pork belly, but I couldn’t stop eating it! A definite must-try.
7×7 Magazine’s Big Eat SF: 100 Things to Try Before You Die

Country ham, hazelnut, Meyer lemon. Tasting menu $155
Lazy Bear, San Francisco CA
This dish was beautiful and delicious! I loved the different preparations of the asparagus. And the miner’s lettuce and brassica flowers looked great against the frothy foam. Noms!

Boneless fried chicken breast topped with dill pickle coleslaw on a Dutch crunch roll. Served with spicy black eyed peas. Combo $11.95
Drums & Crumbs, San Francisco CA
Ugh, the bun was cold and untoasted so it really sucked! It was also dry and just kept crumbling and breaking apart when eating. The chicken was a bit dry, but I liked the flavor of the dill pickle slaw.

Pork sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuit, two eggs poached. $17
Plow, San Francisco CA
This was SO good! Rich and heavy, yes, but also full of flavor and perfectly on a cool San Francisco morning. Mmm…

Crispy chicken glazed in spicy sweet orange flavored sauce. $8.95
Chada Thai Cuisine, Palm Springs CA
I don’t know why restaurants label their dishes “spicy” when there is absolutely no heat! This wasn’t even bland so I’m not sure where any of the “spicy” was hiding. Lame.

Grilled chicken, pico de gallo, lettuce, corn tortilla. $8.75
Papalote Mexican Grill, San Francisco CA
This was pretty tasty, and I love the nice quality of ingredients at Papalote. This may look small, but the tacos are surprisingly very filling.
