Single scoop $4
Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, New York NY
This was a dense ice cream, but I liked it! The peaches and cream flavor was great and it was super cold so it last for the duration of our walk around the waterfront.

Brooklyn Bridge.

Single scoop $2.90
Storm Bros. Ice Cream Factory, Annapolis MD
This ice cream was pretty good. I liked the flavor of the red velvet cake because it wasn’t too strong (and nauseating like some cake flavored ice cream). I will say that the ice cream was really dense and on the sweet side though.

Annapolis waterfront.

With whipped cream, oreo, and peanuts. $5.99
Ben & Jerry’s, Oxon Hill MD
Mmm, I haven’t had a sundae in a really long time and this one was large and delicious! National Harbor is really touristy but it wasn’t packed during this week night. An ice cream dessert along the waterfront was the perfect way to end the work day!

The Awakening sculpture.

Small $5.45
Dolcezza, Washington DC
Well, this was good but not worth the high price tag. I was a little surprised because food in general was cheaper in DC than in SF, but for some reason Dolcezza seems to charge more for their gelato. The flavors were good, but I wasn’t amazed by the texture and probably won’t be running back for more.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.

$2.95
The Trellis Restaurant, Williamsburg VA
Mmm, I love ice cream. And a single scoop I usually all I need to satisfy me. I liked the light-ish texture of this ice cream but I wish the bourbon flavor had just a bit more punch.

Horse drawn carriage.

Seven layer chocolate torte with a hand-rolled white chocolate truffle, chocolate ice cream and dark chocolate sauce. $10.95
The Trellis Restaurant, Williamsburg VA
Wow, talk about a decadent dessert! I liked everything about this torte except for the white chocolate truffle. I’m just not a big fan of white chocolate. Suffice it to say that we couldn’t finish this humongous slice. Noms!

Colonial Williamsburg Courthouse.

Flavor of the day. Single $3.45
Shake Shack, Washington DC
This was delicious and I loved the silky smooth texture of it. The single scoop was also the perfect size for a lunchtime treat!

Dupont Circle Fountain.

On Fridays, there’s a small farmers market outside the Ronald Reagan Building. It was a warm day so I decided to grab one of these ice creams. Since I’m a lover of everything peach, I opted for the peach pie flavor. It was fun to watch her make the ice cream and it tasted great. It had peach bits, peach puree, and pie crumbles. Mmm!
Nitro’s Creamery, Washington DC

My ice cream getting made with liquid nitrogen.

Patriotic elephant and donkey statues.

Peanuts, vanilla soft serve, hot fudge. $3.89
Dairy Queen, Port Orchard WA
I grew up with Dairy Queen and it was always a treat to get one of their soft serve desserts. Ok, it’s not the best but it brings me back. 🙂

‘Chunky monkey’ ice cream, peanut butter crunch. $9
1760, San Francisco CA
This was probably one of the better dishes I tried at 1760 and I’m not even a huge dessert person. That doesn’t mean that this dessert completely rocked, just that the other dishes weren’t all that good. I’m also a sucker for caramelized bananas! Although the plate was a little messy and chaotic, this dish tasted pretty yummy! (The banana bread could’ve been a little warmer though).

Americano. $3

Vanilla and cookies ‘n cream ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolates, cherry. 185 PHP
Chocolate Spoon by Icebergs, Manila PHILIPPINES
After a long day exploring Robinsons Place Manila, we needed a little treat to keep us going. This sundae did just the trick. I don’t think the ice cream was all that great, but I liked the overall flavor of the sundae.

Relief map of the Philippines, Rizal Park.

With vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Per person dinner $20
Hutch Bar & Kitchen, Oakland CA
Ok, this tart was TINY, but I really didn’t mind after that gigantic fried chicken dinner. It still tasted great and the ice cream was an added bonus. Mmm…

Manhattan on the rocks.
