Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chocolate croissant, cheese, fruit, orange juice, and coffee.
AC Hotel Genova, Genoa ITALY
This buffet was better than most, and they had a pretty good selection of food. The servers were really friendly too.

Onions and cilantro. $2.95
Tropisueno, San Francisco CA
Simple and delicious! I keep getting their barbacoa lately because it’s so tender and flavorful.

Bread with tomato. €2.95
La Taverna del Born, Barcelona SPAIN
This was SO good! I loved eating this bread with the charcuterie plate. The bread was nicely grilled with the perfect amount of olive oil and tomato.

Bresaola, mozzarella, pomodori conditi, rucola. €9
Il Galeone, Genoa ITALY
Wow, this was a lot of meat for a “salad”, lol! Ok, I can work with this. It was pretty good though and the arugula really help cut the meatiness of this salad.

Poached Maine lobster, bacon, lemon aioli, mixed greens salad. $27
Redd, Yountville CA
Why is everything at Redd so good?! Omg, this hash was lovely and delicious! There’s a side of me that loves the mushy old-school hash, but this fancy version was totally legit. Noms!

Variat de tapes €15
El Berro, Barcelona SPAIN
Olives are my favorite and I haven’t found an olive I didn’t enjoy. And these were nice and yummy!

Mixed greens, olives, peppers.
Monu Cafe, Genoa ITALY
This was plain and simple, but it tasted good on a hot sunny day. This tiny restaurant overlooking the sea was nice and relaxing to dine at.

Pecorino, saffron, salsa. $25
La Ciccia, San Francisco CA
This tasted good, but it wasn’t my favorite. The pork was a little dry and the sauce didn’t do much for me. The plate also looked kinda sad.

Chocolate chip cookies and water. Complimentary
Rome (FCO) to Genoa (GOA), Alitalia
This looked like a pretty sad snack offering, but it was a short flight. The mini cookies were pretty good.

Menu del dia, each €21.90 (with lobster supplemental)
Lizarran, Sitges SPAIN
This came in a huge bowl! It tasted really good, but the lobster was pretty tough to get at. I didn’t mind, but my dining partner didn’t want to get dirty. For me, I loved it!

Crispy fried cheese stuffed with carnitas, topped with salsa, cilantro, onions, avocado, and sour cream. $5
Sauteed shrimp topped with cabbage, sour cream, avocado, and fresh green tomatillo salsa. $4.50
Judie’s Tacos Locos, San Francisco CA
I liked both of these tacos, but the fried cheese taco was certainly different and very fun to eat. I enjoyed the crispy-gooey texture of the fried cheese and the carnitas were also flavorful. That’s not to say that the shrimp taco not tasty too. 🙂

Bellota cured ham, Iberian “chorizo”, and Iberian sausage. €14.90
La Taverna del Born, Barcelona SPAIN
I loved this charcuterie plate! The meats were all delicious, and there was plenty of it. I would order this again in a heartbeat.
