Sheesh, these burgers look much more substantial in the pictures! This tastes pretty good, but the patty was perhaps a little dry. The French fries were delicious!

This was a pretty large burger, not necessarily from the beef patty but from all the toppings! The meat was juicy and flavorful so I can’t complain. 🙂

Brandon’s grass fed beef burger – Grub

Brandon's grass fed beef burger - Grub
Housemade bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and sriracha aioli served on a toasted pain de mie bun. $13
Grub, San Francisco CA

Mmm, this burger was pretty tasty! It was well cooked and had lots of flavor. I loved the soft, toasted pain de mie and the thick slices of bacon. The sriracha aioli could’ve had more kick though.

Prather Ranch burger – Starbelly

Prather Ranch burger - Starbelly
March 2, 2014. With aged cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, house cut fries and pickle, grilled sesame seed challah bun. $13
Starbelly, San Francisco CA

Apparently, Starbelly believes that their burger is SO amazing that it needs 1 hour to prepare it and get it to your table. Puh-lease! This was my final meal at Starbelly, and it wasn’t even that good. Time to move onto greener pastures.

SF Giant & Fixin’s burger – It’s Tops Coffee Shop

SF Giant & Fixin's burger - It's Tops Coffee Shop
“It’s Tops award-winning fresh ground burgers are juicy and hand formed. Fixin’s are grilled onion, mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickles.” Added Monterey jack cheese and subsituted crispy onion rings. $11.20
It’s Tops Coffee Shop, San Francisco CA

I’d been meaning to finally try this hole-in-the-wall 50’s diner on Market Street. We were starving after a night at the theatre so we decided to duck in for a late meal on our way home. The restaurant decor is very kitschy and the service was super friendly, but the food was marginal verging on just plain bad. This burger was pretty large, but really boring and sad looking. The onion rings were limp, soggy and greasy. Ew!

They cook their patties to medium and it was very juicy and tender, noms! I don’t even mind that the burger was mini because with the fries, pickles and drink it was plenty of food for me.

Mini cheeseburger combo - Super Duper Burgers
This is a pretty yummy plate for a cheat meal. I’d rather eat at Super Duper than some fast food joint.

Park Circle hamburger – Sesame Burgers & Beer

Park Circle hamburger - Sesame Burgers & Beer
Proudly serving Meyers Farm hormone free, grass fed beef, ground in house daily using their special seasoning and cooked to order. Each burger is served on a fresh sesame seed bun with lettuce and a side of housemade bread and butter pickles. Sharp cheddar cheese, cole slaw, bbq sauce and tomato. $7.40 (Side of sliced cucumber salad with oregano, feta and olives. $1.50)
Sesame Burgers & Beer, North Charleston SC

This placed was jam-packed! We had to wait to get seated, then we waited a really long time before we got our food. We actually waited SO long that we had our food packed to-go because our lunch time was ending! I guess that’s what happens when you have a really popular restaurant and not many dining alternatives nearby. The cheeseburger was really good though and the beef patty was tender and juicy. I loved the coleslaw and bbq sauce combination. The cucumber salad was just ok, but I can’t really complain for a buck fifty!

Big King meal deal – Burger King

Big King meal deal - Burger King
Big King hamburger with 2 flame grilled beef patties, crispy lettuce, sliced onions, pickles, American cheese and Big King sauce. Meal with small fries and small Diet Coke. ÂŁ3.99
Burger King, London ENGLAND

I guess BK in London has a different “King of the Day” sandwich for each day of the week. Mondays are Big King cheeseburger days! The burger seems much smaller than how the product description on their website reads. Hmm… It tasted like Burger King though! Sometimes fast food chains taste differently in other countries, but even the ketchup tasted the same here.

Angus beef burger - Cat Cora Kitchen
I ordered with burger cooked medium/medium-rare and you can see that it’s still a little pink in the middle and super juicy, noms! I will say that the patty could have used a little more seasoning, but it was very good. The sweet potato fries were nicely fried and delicious!

The Sleeper burger – Poe’s Tavern

The Sleeper burger - Poe's Tavern

Poe’s Tavern, Sullivan’s Island SC

The Sleeper burger - Poe's Tavern
What was I thinking ordering this super heavy burger? It was delicious, but super rich and large! I wasn’t very hungry at the time so perhaps this wasn’t the best choice. I will say that the patty had a weird texture. It was very crumbly underneath the sear and fell apart quite easily. The Buffalo shrimp was great though!

The Sleeper burger - Poe's Tavern
These fries were delicious, but they got soggy as they cooled down.
