Simple and delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was rich and tasty. The portions was small, but it filled me up just fine.

Banana sour cream pancakes, sausage, soft scrambled eggs. $12.95
Bette’s Oceanview Diner, Berkeley CA
These pancakes were pretty tasty and moist, and the soft scrambled eggs were good too. The sausages were plain and boring though.

Yellow tail, salmon and shrimp wrapped with soybean paper, deep fried, with tuna outside. $13
Ebisu, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
This was actually decent for airport sushi. The fish wasn’t the most fresh but I liked the combination of ingredients. I’ve also never had a fried roll that was then wrapped in more rice and tuna – pretty cool.

Garlic and butter infused noodles, tender pork slices marinated in garlic and pepper, steamed broccoli. $11
Perilla, San Francisco CA
Wow, these noodles are SO garlicky! I was almost embarrassed bringing this dish back to the office since it just filled any room with the garlic aroma. They tasted great though (since I love garlic). The pork was a bit on the salty side though.

$3.50
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, San Francisco CA
Omg, I loved this! I I can’t say that I’ve had tried a lot of babka, but this tasted amazing and was SO chocolate-y. I loved all the thin, delicate layers and it just tasted really good. Mmm…

Tomato risotto croquettes, molten smoked mozzarella. $13
54 Mint, San Francisco CA
These were a little hard on the outside but they still tasted food. The smoked mozzarella really made the difference.

House-made corned beef hash with poached eggs and raisin cream scone. $12.95
Bette’s Oceanview Diner, Berkeley CA
Wow, this was pretty amazing! The corned beef hash was the best I’ve had in a while. It was crispy on the outside with a soft center. Once you cut the warm poached eggs over everything, I was done! Noms!

Mimosa: orange juice and champagne. $5.95
Pomegranate Cocktail: pomegranate juice, champagne, lime juice and grenadine. $5.95

$2.50
Ebisu, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Ugh, this soup was scalding, super salty, and lacked a rich miso flavor. Perhaps the saltiness over-powered everything else. I didn’t much like it.

$1.50
Arizmendi Bakery, San Francisco CA
The bread products from Arizmendi are amazing when they’re warm and fresh out of the oven. This focaccia was already cold, so it was a bit hard and lacked the usually buttery flavor I’m used to.

Patty ground with pastrami, Tillamook cheddar, Russian dressing, lettuce, onions, and relish on a sesame seed bun. $11
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, San Francisco CA
This burger was unexpectedly delicious coming from a Jewish deli! The patty with pastrami was different and tasty, and all the ingredients just worked so well together. Mmm…

Local endive, caramelized peach, salted almond, feta cheese. $15
54 Mint, San Francisco CA
This endive salad was very good. I love the bitterness of the crispy endive combined with all the other flavors and textures. A simple classic!

With dungeness crab and shrimp. $24.75
Sinbad’s Pier 2 Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This salad was simple (and expensive), but they certainly didn’t skimp on the crab and shrimp. They could have improved the presentation though.
