Wine tasting in Sonoma is great and and perfect with a charcuterie and cheese plate. A perfect pairing! This plate was pretty decent and I especially liked the fig jam spread.

#29 roll – Ebisu

#29 roll - Ebisu
Yellow tail, salmon and shrimp wrapped with soybean paper, deep fried, with tuna outside. $13
Ebisu, San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

This was actually decent for airport sushi. The fish wasn’t the most fresh but I liked the combination of ingredients. I’ve also never had a fried roll that was then wrapped in more rice and tuna – pretty cool.

Garlic noodles with charbroiled pork – Perilla

Garlic noodles with charbroiled pork - Perilla
Garlic and butter infused noodles, tender pork slices marinated in garlic and pepper, steamed broccoli. $11
Perilla, San Francisco CA

Wow, these noodles are SO garlicky! I was almost embarrassed bringing this dish back to the office since it just filled any room with the garlic aroma. They tasted great though (since I love garlic). The pork was a bit on the salty side though.

Chocolate babka – Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen

Chocolate babka - Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen
$3.50
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, San Francisco CA

Omg, I loved this! I I can’t say that I’ve had tried a lot of babka, but this tasted amazing and was SO chocolate-y. I loved all the thin, delicate layers and it just tasted really good. Mmm…

Maryland breakfast - Bette's Oceanview Diner
House-made corned beef hash with poached eggs and raisin cream scone. $12.95
Bette’s Oceanview Diner, Berkeley CA

Wow, this was pretty amazing! The corned beef hash was the best I’ve had in a while. It was crispy on the outside with a soft center. Once you cut the warm poached eggs over everything, I was done! Noms!
